With Tour Dates This Spring, China Glaze Electropop Puts on a Colorful Show

I’ve been keeping a secret from you.

No, I’m not a billionaire or a costumed vigilante…although I bet Tabs would look so cute in his little sidekick outfit!

Here it is: I’m a rock star.

Or rather, I would like to be.

Cat’s out of the bag! Yep, one of my resolutions this year was to channel my inner rock star, and no, I don’t mean by fronting a band. 🙂 I mean someone who’s confident and bold enough to tear it up in front of thousands of people on stage. Someone with wicked style, too, like my own lead singer in a one-woman band. The Gwen Stefani of Novato, California.

But wait — it gets cheesier! To remind myself to “embrace my inner rock star,” I leave a lot of Post-Its around the house…

Phase One culminated with pink rock star hair. For Phase Two, I need rock star nails, and I’m thinking the new China Glaze Electropop collection will do. The heavy metal-meets-rocker chick vibe of this 12-piece collection of vibrant rainbow brights should look gnarly on my metaphorical stage! 🙂

Electropop goes on tour this spring in beauty salons and stores, and when tickets go on sale, they’ll cost $7 each. Or, you could hold out for one of the two special performances featuring six full-size bottles each for $42.

Rolling Stone calls the Lights kit “a tour de force of purple of pink!” It comes with Fuchsia Fanatic (a fuschia pink), Dance Baby (a cotton candy pink), Electric Beat (a periwinkle), Kinetic Candy (a light sky blue crème), Sweet Hook (a lilac) and Gothic Lolita (a seductive purple).

Looking for rainbow hues and sparkle instead? Consider the Brights kit, which comes with Techno (a glittery confetti topcoat), Aquadelic (a pool blue), Sunshine Pop (a bold yellow), Gaga for Green (a lime green), Make Some Noise (a Tangerine) and Wicked Style (a tropical punch).

For most of these swatches I used two coats, but for the creamy blues — Kinetic Candy and Electric Beat — I went with three. I’ve always had great luck with China Glaze polishes lasting at least a week before chipping, so I’m hoping for more of that same kind of durability from these.

China Glaze even hid an Easter surprise in the collection, and you might spot it if you look closely at Sunchine Pop and Gothic Lolita… See the secret shimmer? They have the daintiest little flecks of micro-glitter.

Way to go, China Glaze! 🙂

PRICE: $7 per bottle; $42 for each of two 6-piece kits
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to beauty salons and stores

I kinda wish I didn’t see this. I’m going to want the whole collection.
Thanks for the swatches Karen. Our skintones are similar so it gives me a good idea what they would look like on me. 😛

Hey Karen, I think you meant “Sunshine Pop” not “Sunchine”. You also mixed up “Dance Baby” (the cotton candy pink one) and “Sweet Hook” (the lilac one). 😉

Make Some Noise really grabbed me! Tangerine is so big and wearable this year I’ll have to lay my hands on something tangerine soon!
