Over the past two years, Pantone, makers of those pretty color sample books that designers and other creative pros have used for decades to standardize colors, has been surveying insiders at New York Fashion Week and summarizing seasonal color trends into their highly-anticipated spring and fall Fashion Color Reports.

The spring 2012 edition identifies 10 shades currently climbing up the color popularity charts. They range from natural tones to pastels, and all the way to bold brights.

Make Up For Ever can help color lovers stay on the cutting edge and implement the trendy shades in Pantone’s latest Color Report. All of the pieces here are part of the brand’s permanent line, and available now at Sephora stores and also online.

One of my favorite things about Make Up For Ever is their wide selection of permanent collection colors. Can you think of any other possible Pantone spring 2012 dupes from MUFE or from other brands? Inquiring minds want to know.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. It’s that time again! The time for happy hump day wishes. 🙂

So many pretty colors! I want to say MAC Call Me Bubbles has a couple of shades that are close, but I know there are many more I can’t think of right this minute!

Loving these colours, Karen! What fab brights. (And this is coming from someone who typically gravitates to neutrals & more muted colours!)

It’s so cute that MUFE sent out their Pantone-correspondant colours – that’s a bit of PR genius, if you ask me ;o)

I’m in a bright color phase right and this is like a treat for me! My favorites would be the eye shadows, Tangerine Aqua cream and the aqua liner!

These colors are so pretty! I can’t wait til spring. We’re getting a taste here in Ohio, the highs are in the 60s today.

P.S. This video of this kitty signing for food is adorable. 🙂

my husband and I are in the commercial printing industry, Pantone is called PMS- pantone matching system. Its funny when we show a customer a swatch and we’re like what PMS color do you want and they’ll giggle over the name.

    GEEK OUT MOMENT!!

When I heard that sephora was doing a collection with Pantne, I was nervous it would be sephora quality and said I wish pantone would do it with a company like MUFE or MAC. This is separate from the Pantone universe + Sephora collection, yeah?
I can’t wait to see these puppies in person!

I have played with the pantone+sephora collection products. They are pretty amazing! (I am a mufe lover and so my standards are high) The value of the collaboration pieces is outstanding too. You will die for the blush duo!

I LOVE THIS! Pantone colors are all so fabulous and Bellflower is a prime example! We love it so much that we made it our color of the week and put together a fabulous outfit on our blog to show how to dress wearing Pantone’s Bellflower using an analogous color palette. You can take a look at it here http://www.weartostandout.com/blog/pantone-bellflower and tell us what you think! xoxo, WearToStandOut
