There’s a Pixi in My Lip Tint! $16 Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm

There’s a pixi in my lip tint!

Huzzah!

Did you ever try the Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Tints? I fell in love with those things and their shimmery, non-sticky, lip-tinty goodness…

If you did, too, check out Pixi’s new Tinted Brilliance Balms ($16 each). Smooth, and a little shiny, just like Tarte’s tints, they last about an hour on my lips.

That’s not long, granted, but I think it’s fine for what they are.

Here’s a quick look at four of the seven available shades. Have a look, and let me know what you think. 🙂

LOVE how smooth and slick these feel, and I dig the rich colors and subtle shine, but they aren’t quite as moisturizing as I’d like.

That, and they taste and smell a little waxy to me (like mint-flavored dental floss)…

Of course, I’m fond of mint-flavored dental floss, so there’s that. 🙂

PRICE: $16 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Target stores and also online

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

P.S. Send me your questions for Bobbi!

And I’ll try to get them answered tomorrow morning when I interview Bobbi Brown over the phone.

Excited much? (I am!). If there’s anything you’d like me to ask her, like product recommendations, application tips, etc., let me know in the comments here, and I’ll do my beauty-loving best to get them answered.

When will a new matte “basics” eyeshadow palette be released?

Thanks for your question, Jen. I take it you’re a matte eyeshadow kinda gal?

These look cute, but just an hour wear time isn’t very good. Karen, do the Tarte tints last longer than these?

      Hi Sarah,

I think they do. I can get about three hours with the Tarte tints!

I love these colors, but the waxy feel would bug me. :/

Question for Bobbi: what is the best way to apply blush on a person with very high cheekbones?

      Hi Chris,

They don’t really feel waxy… they have a slight waxy scent, though!

How’s Jazz doing these days? I hope he’s fully recovered.

    Question for bobbi brown.

What age should you start using anti aging or wrinkle creams.

Im 23, should I be using an eye cream? I apply sunscreen everyday on face, neck, chest and hands.

Love your blog Karen. I appreciate all your hard work.
