    Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

I got everything I wanted in that my family is here, safe, and no one is too horribly affected by the economy. But besides that, my sisters and I pulled in a seriously good haul this year 🙂

Hi Karen! Hope you’re having a Merry Christmas! I came over to your side of the Ko`olau again today, had to visit and drop some flowers for our lost loved ones at Hawaiian Memorial and Valley of the Temples… then we went to Safeway in Kane`ohe… what a nightmare! We stood in the express line for like 30 minutes! That’s what we get for trying to shop on Christmas!

Anyhow, I got an iPhone today from my mommy and daddy, so I couldn’t be happier! And of course my auntys knew, so I also got a bunch of iTunes gift cards… I can’t wait to load it up with new songs and apps!

What did you get for Christmas?

Hey Karen!! Merry Christmas to you, Tabs, El Hubs and the rest of your family.

I got everything I wanted…and even stuff that I knew I wanted but hadn’t told anyone. I think my crowning gifts were the Garmin Nuvi 780 Navigation system and my new T3 Featherweight hair dryer. I also got the NARS gloss duo set Nordstrom was selling, plus a really pretty necklace, a book, and a Viva La Juicy perfume set. I’m stoked.

The greatest gift though was that my parents, bro and his wife and daughter (my niece) came over and opened gifts with me, hubs, and my son. We had brunch, opened gifts, and hung out. There was absolutely zero drama…just fun and the joy of being together. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Hope you got all that you wanted. Also hope your MIL is doing well.

    Hi Sleepy,

LOL, I grew up in the Bay Area and I’ve never been to Alcatraz. You’ve got to tell me if it’s fun!

San Francisco is my *favorite* city. I miss living there!

    Hi Tiera,

We went to the Longs last night and we spent the same amount of time in line!

The iPhone is so much fun. You gotta get a screen protector and a skin, though. There are some cute ones at the Apple store!

For Christmas we kept it low key… some clothes and jewelry, a gift card for Lululemon… I’m excited about wearing workout clothes with no holes, LOL.

Did you have fun at the game last night?

mele kalikimaka to you and your ohana, karen!

tho this christmas has been quiet–the sweets and i hermitted most of the day except for an picnic outing to waimanalo–i definitely have everything i want. my new mini cooper s is on a boat in the caribbean on its way to honolulu; the sweets is finally healthy after a bad cold and sinus infection requiring three different antibiotics; my mom, who is in portland, oregon, might be snowed in but she’s got a stockpile of supplies and healthy & happy despite cabin ever; the sweet’s mom is also good, as are her two adorable shiba inu; the sweets and i are still both employed even tho times are hard; and we even got to enjoy four sun-filled, lazy days on maui. can’t help but feel really blessed and grateful. i’m even thankful to have stumbled across your blog a few months ago–it’s a nice intermezzo of beautydom between work and other more banal details in life!

Oh my goodness. Oatmeal cripies sound good to. Well not to mention the cookies I made and ended up munching on, anything with those little green and red coarse sugar sprinkles really gets me. I love how crunchy they are when you eat em’. haha.

I got much, much more than I expected this year – a pair of heels (picked out by me) from the boyfriend, a Tiffany lock necklace (a gift to myself – does that count?, and a SLR digital camera from my Dad!!!!!!! It was a surprise gift & I couldn’t be more happy!
