It’s a Dior Golden Jungle Out There! Dior Jungle Collection for Fall 2012

July 18th, 2012 by Karen 29 Comments

dior fall 2012

Reporting live today from the wild plains of the Dior golden savannah!

We’ve stepped out of our vehicle for a few moments to get a better look at the local wildlife. Around me, fall eye palettes in shades of khaki, bronze, nude and brown roam free.

It’s breathtaking, but potentially very dangerous for purses and wallets, as this area is famous for luscious, creamy shadows attacking unsuspecting, wide-eyed Dior fans like you and me.

Shh! I think I see something beautiful… Hurry, everyone! Back to the vehicle!

Seriously, there’s almost too much pretty in these compacts; I’m tempted to apply everything all at once!

Yup, lots to look forward to this fall at Dior, like a new line of brushes and face makeup, nude nail polishes and eye palettes, and a new makeup collection for eyes, lips and cheeks called Golden Jungle.

It’s a massive number of new products, and here’s a quick nibble. Let me know if anything fires up your inner jungle cat, mrrrow! 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. So…this is totally random, but how do you feel about Scritti Politti?

I don’t know why, but I thought of them today. Their lyrics are kinda wackadoo (“Each time I go to bed, I pray like Aretha Franklin.” — Okay, WHAT?), which is one of the reasons I like ’em. 🙂

P.P.S. Two days until the Dark Knight Rises!

Oooooh look at all those gorgeous, pristine Dior compacts. WANT! 😛 I am still trying to decide between Golden Savannah and Khaki Design, but those 2 3-Couleurs palettes are kind of meh to me

I’d have a really tough time swirling the colors together found within the Golden Jungle Palette. Are the colors superficial or do they go all the way to the bottom of the pan? Or, do you not want find out in fear of ruining it?

That Jungle Palette is just so pretty! But I wish there was a blush in there instead of that gloss. The palettes look really pretty too! Nude Glow looks perfect to me though!

Ohh… ahh… look at that amazing combination of colors and it’s just so pretty to look at. it’d be one of those “i-bought-this-just-to-look-at-it” kind of product for me =/

I love Dior’s packaging as usual. The jungle print is sooo divine and reminds me of the mitzah eye palette. I wish they would make a bronzer with the jungle print.

Khaki Design is preeeeeetty! All t heir compacts are soo pretty. Although a few years ago I got their Twilight one (different shades of blue, swoon) and the texture is far from nice. Crazy fallout and some even turn into bits of fluff..

I’m actually looking forward to Nude Glow for some reason. Might be this barely there shadow phase I’m going through right now. Would love to see how they look on you 🙂

That jungle palette is one cool-looking palette! It’s just one of those items that’s fun to look at. I’d feel bad messing up the print 🙂

I love the look of the jungle palette but thought the gloss was a blush, so I’m thinking if I can’t even tell what the product is, I shouldn’t be buying it. 🙂

I saw recently that the Dark Knight is 2 hours and 45 minutes. That’s a lot of gloom. I hope it moves along briskly! 🙂

I would love for Dior to come up with a whole series of safari prints. I like zebrass as much as Ieopards. As with Dior, spotless packaging.

Scritti Politti! Sometimes I really miss 80’s New Wave. That Dior Golden Jungle palette is beautiful and a work of art. If I had unlimited dollars, I’d buy it just to display. I don’t think I’d use it enough to justify the price for my real world self, though.

I love the design of the palettes themselves – the little door covering the lip (or is it cheek?) color, and the flip up mirror – genius!

The Jungle palette is very interesting! And even I thought that the gloss part was the blush! Good that it has a lid. Golden Savannah also looks good!

My Golden Jungle palette just arrived yesterday! It’s so pretty I haven’t had the heart to touch it yet. I was considering getting Savannah too–do you think they are too similar?

I’m a sucker for leopard print. Honestly, my sister has told me I’m not allowed to buy anymore. I think this would be an exception though!
