I’ll Take Two Tickets to Valueville: Jet-Setters Will Love the Travel-Friendly Benefit Holiday 2012 Sets and Kits

September 26th, 2012 by Karen 20 Comments

benefit holiday 2012

Hello, this is your captain speaking. Thank you for flying with us today on MBB Air. Please remain seated during takeoff, make sure your seat back and tray table are in the upright positions, buckle your safety belt, and keep your makeup handy.

Our destination on this beauty joyride? — Benefit holiday 2012!

Here on MBB Air, as we fly the glossy skies to Beauty Valueville, enjoy our first-class treatment with a touch-up before touch down with one of Benefit’s three new affordable limited edition kits and sets. 🙂

When we reach our cruising altitude, feel free to spritz, swipe, pat and blend your way about the cabin with the High Flyin’ Glosses kit ($26), and the She’s So Jetset ($36) and Crescent Row Limited Edition ($36) sets.

The She’s So…Jetset! Set ($36)

Travel to neutral territory (as in neutral colors) with this nine-piece set for eyes, cheeks and lips. The brightly colored orange, pink and yellow box (so cute!) houses a mini POREfessional primer, four powder eyeshadows, a First-Class Face Powder, a miniature Life on the A List lipgloss, a tiny tube of They’re Real Mascara, a dual-ended applicator and a small cheek brush.

The High Flyin’ Glosses Kit ($26)

Why fly high with the six miniature Benefit blush-inspired lipglosses that come in this kit? Answer: ’cause you never know when you’ll be seated next to a handsome stranger. 🙂 Gloss your lips with sheer coral Coralista, dusty rose Dallas, bright watermelon Bella Bamba, shimmering nude Hoola, pinky nude Sugarbomb or soft pearly pink Dandelion, and get ready for sparks to fly!

The Cresent Row Limited Edition Set ($36)

Lift your spirits with the four scents that come in this kit of small eau de toilettes. Choose from Benefit fragrance faves including Laugh With Me LeeLee (a woody floral), My Place or Yours Gina (a woody oriental), Ring My Bella (a fruity floral) and See & Be Seen Sasha (a captivating floral).

This is probably TMI (so what else is new?)…

…but I’m PMS-ing like crazy right now. I haven’t cried (yet), but I’m bloated, my boobs hurt, and I’m eating everything in sight.

You know when your boobs are so sore and sensitive that even just lying down or sitting up hurts? Yup, that’s me. I’m wearing two sports bras because it’s that painful.

And, of course, Tabs is upset because his usual snuggling spot (my chest) is currently off limits. He’s swiping at my ankles as I type…

[SIGH!] I could really do with a bag of Peanut M&M’s and a bucket of fries right now. And a medium veggie pizza.

And while I’m at it, I should probably look for a new internal filter because I’ve apparently lost mine, LOL!

Sorry. 🙂

I hope your day’s gone well.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I hear you, girlfriend. I’m eating everything in sight and cradling my boobs as I go up and down the stairs. I’m snappish and mean to everyone around me and then crying because they don’t love me. Stupid ovaries!

I’m not a huge benefit fan but I’ve always loved the look of the fragrances… the set might be a good way to try them! Thanks for posting!

One important thing to note about the mini fragrances, which I found out last year when I bought a set, is that they have no sprays! They just have a little opening at the top, which is kinda awkward, and not purse friendly. Still love them, though!

Hey Pretty Lady! Since you love Benefit Cosmetics so much, you should enter the contest to win $500 worth of Benefit Products, a $1,500 shopping spree at Macy’s. Oh and a trip for two to watch the filming of E!’s Fashion Police in LA!

I’m digging the Jetset kit. I’ll have to put it on my (already growing) Christmas list. 🙂 I hear ya on the PMS. All I want to do is cry and stuff my face with chocolate. That pizza looks yummy!

The JetSet kit looks pretty awesome and like it’d be great for travel. I like having things consolidated in one kit for travel if I can.

I hear you on the PMS 🙁 Since I switched to 3 month packs of BC, I get it once every 3 months but it sucks. Try doing any kind of exercise that you can – it will make you happier, help calm any pain, and make you less bloated. Even getting out for a walk is better than nothing! Also soak in a bubble bath if you can, it will help ease cramps.

Thanks for the review of these Karen! The first set looks great – the eyeshadows are pretty and perfect for traveling! Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough PMS time – I’m always angry/sad, fighting off chin acne and bloorpy all over for a full week before I get my period. Hang in there and cuddle up with Tabs!

HAHA! Yes, I feel your pain (thankfully, not right now). If it makes you feel better, one of the fellas caught a few minutes of the Waterboy at a friend’s house last week and came home wanting to “sack” me. He ran down the hall, head first, into my right boob. It was sore and bruised for days.

Btw, I immediately thought of you and smiled when I saw She’s So…Jetset. I know how you love the ellipses… 😉

Benefit seriously has the most cute and fun packaging I have ever seen. I recently tried the Porefessional and it did wonders for my skin, I’m hooked! I can’t wait to purchase these travel friendly sets for the holidays!

Being a neutral-phile (I made that word up) I’m loving the She’s So Jet Set. I wasn’t crazy about the glosses-too sheer for me. I’m wearing last years I’m Glam Therefore I Am kit right now!

Oh, I’m actually gonna be traveling in October. My first time ever on an airplane and I’m 43. Gonna visit my brother, his wife and my brand new nephew in Wisconsin! Can not wait! But, back on topic, the Jet Set combo will be perfect to take with me. Are they out in stores yet?! I hope so 🙂

I hear ya with the PMS symptoms. Mine get so bad, they wake me up in the middle of the night if hubby is snuggling too tight or accidently touch a boob. PAINFUL!! What us women go through sometimes is amazing!

    Feel better soon.

All these minis are so cute! And I love the idea because they’re so much easier to fit in a handbag. Plus, you get to sample them all and switch it up instead of committing to one.

I love the lipgloss set! I’ve been eyeing the full sized lippies at Ulta but could never decide which one I like best, so I’m glad this is out! Not too mention that the mini sizes are pretty generous, too.

Ooh I love the look of these new sets, I always find benefit does the best value kits but because I pretty much have all the products from benefit it’s never really worth me purchasing them – although I’m a sucker for the cute packaging!
