The $29 Ulta Exclusive Too Faced Color Confections Kit Is All Smiles About Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

Wearing the new Too Faced Color Confections kit

I’ve stumbled on to what may be the only holiday palette this year (or ever?) that’s secretly a sci-fi nerd’s dream come true — the new Too Faced Color Confections kit ($29), a montage of warm and cool eye, cheek and lip makeup packaged in a girly pink case that opens up to reveal what kindasorta looks like a smiling robot.

The powder eyeshadows are its eyes, the three lip colors are its nose, and the two bronzers and blushes are like its teeth… Beep boop beep! 🙂

Too Faced Color Confections

Not to worry, though. This limited edition Ulta exclusive won’t leave you looking like a robot. I feel like these matte and shimmer finishes give my mug a lot of texture and life.

The Too Faced Color Confections kit

This day-to-night Ulta exclusive kit for eyes, cheeks, lips and face contains…

  • Eight powder shadows
  • Two powder bronzers
  • Two powder blushes
  • Three lip colors

This is one of those palettes I plan to keep on my dressing table, not just because the mix of warm and cool colors are going to come in handy (so great when I don’t want to think too hard), but also because the cardboard and plastic packaging may not stand up well to travel. The lid doesn’t snap shut, either, so it’s probably not one of those products you would just throw into a suitcase.

This one needs to be treated like the talent here at the office (aka Tabs) — with kid gloves and lots of TLC.

One more thing — I like to keep my foundation brush on hand when I’m doing eye looks with Color Confections, as these shadows seem to leave behind a bit more fallout than the shadows in the other Too Faced holiday kits I’ve tried.

But even with a little fallout and somewhat fragile packaging, I think this is such a cute kit, and I like the selection of colors. It’s a good spread of shades for really easy looks.

PRICE: $29 (a $128 value)

I’m so not into kits with lip gloss in a pot type thing but those eye colors look really pretty, particularly the grey!

    Hi Jennifer,

Yeah, I kinda wish the glosses were on a separate tray, too. Hope you’re having a nice Friday so far!

    Karen,

How large is this palette? Estimate diameter, please?
