MAC Creme Team Cremesheen Lipsticks and Lipglosses: What Would You Get?

January 28th, 2009 by Karen 54 Comments

I’ll take my lipsticks and lipglasses with extra cream, please. 🙂

Mark your calendars for the arrival of the new MAC Creme Team collection next Thursday, my fellow MAC Cremesheen lipstick lovahs!

The collection offers new Cremesheen lipsticks, limited edition Lipglasses and Cremestick lip liners. I’m really looking forward to Cremesheen Glass (available only until March), an ultra sheer and moist lipgloss with a creamy finish.

Are you already thinking about what would you get? I know I am!

Cremesheen Lipstick, $14

  • Crème Cup: light blue pink
  • Shy Girl: creamy neutral coral beige
  • Crosswires: clean pinky orange
  • Lickable: bright clean blue pink
  • Lavender Whip: light cool lavender
  • Crème in Your Coffee: creamy mid-tone pink brown
  • Spice is Nice: creamy dark warm brown
  • Hang-up: deep berry

Cremesheen Glass, $18

  • Ever So Rich: sheer lilac
  • Fashion Scoop: pale cool baby pink with light pearl
  • Boy Bait: light neutral beige with pearl
  • Partial Pink: light creamy yellow pink with light gold pearl
  • Melt in Your Mouth: mid-tone creamy clean pink
  • Petite Indulgence: mid-tone bright blue pink
  • Crème Anglaise: mid-tone neutral mauve
  • Looks Like Sin: sheer deep berry

Cremestick Liner, $14.50

  • Sublime Culture: neutral pink
  • Pink Treat: dirty pink
  • Caramellow: neutral caramel
  • Velvetella: blackened plum

Ready for another round of WHAT WOULD YOU GET?

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend $100 in virtual moolah (or thereabouts) on any combination of products from MAC Creme Team, and then share your virtual haul in the comments.

It’s gonna be on like Donkey Kong when I get my paws on that crazy purple gloss!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Do you know if these will be available at Macy’s and other department stores or only MAC stores?

    Thanks.

I’m on a spring-anticipating pink trend right now, so I’m looking at Creme Cup and Lavender Whip lipsticks (you knew I couldn’t pass by without sampling the Lavender)! I like the Ever So Rich and Melt In Your Mouth lipglasses and I’ve heard great things about the Pink Treat liner!

I’m looking forward to trying these on next week! 🙂

I like the look of cream cup!

Is it just me or does anyone else HATE the picture of the MAC drippy lips? They gross me out big time!

I’m loving Lickable (fine, fine, I like the name too), Creme in your Coffee, Boy Bait, and Looks like Sin. I need another lipstick or lipgloss like I need a hole in the head, but I love the Cremesheen formula and I find I’ve been using lip products a lot more lately, since I’ve been to lazy to do anything crazy with my eye products.

I’m not a fan of the drippy lip photo either. Makes me want to get a napkin or something. 🙂

I spoke with my local Nordie’s and they will be getting it next week. I’m assuming that means all the other MAC counters will get the release as well. 🙂

    Hi Glosslizard,

OMG! I am dying over the Lavender Whip. I’ve been in love with purple on the lips since this old school purple gloss I get from Benefit years ago… it’s one of those colors that looks like it should be scary but totally isn’t!

    Hi Katee,

I like that shot a lot. I dig the vibrant colors — especially the purple lip in the middle — and the composition. Sometimes I don’t find the MAC beauty shots very accessible, but I think this one is.

I’m getting Ever So Rich from someone who got their hands on them early. I heard the texture is perfect for those who love gloss, but don’t like the stickiness of lipglass (woo hoo!). 😀 I’ll let you know when I get it!

thanks for posting this! This is the first I’ve heard of this collection. I love my modesty cremesheen so I will def. check these out. I’m strangely drawn to lavender whip….and I really want to try these lipglosses. But I think I will need to see swatches or try in person first before deciding.

I really love that you take the collection release info and put your own “twist” on the blog post (the what would you get game vs. just posting the release, word for word like some bloggers). This is just one reason why I love your blog so much! 🙂

Since I don’t wear lipstick anymore, I prefer lip gloss and I’d spend the money on that.

The colors I’d get would be:

    Boy Bait
    Partial Pink
    Melt in Your Mouth
    Petite Indulgence
    Looks Like Sin

So, yes, I’m not fond of the purple. I’m in my early thirties and I don’t want to look too outlandish.

    Hi Honeybrown1976,

Hmm, I used to not be into purple gloss, either. Benefit has one that’s pretty wearable, and that’s what converted me. It doesn’t really look purple on the lips — more like a bright pink. I’m hoping that this purple will have a similar look!
