Fishing for a Bargain on a Holiday Brush Set? Cast Your Eyes on Sonia Kashuk’s New Gilded Cages Holiday Brush Set, and Net Six Ultra Soft Face and Eye Brushes and a Cute, Sparkly Clutch

It may be cold and rainy here in the Bay Area tonight (boo!), but at least I don’t have to see dudes with long toenails wearing flip-flops. #glasshalffull

The rain also gives me an excuse to stay home and gaze at the sparkly clutch that comes with Sonia Kashuk’s new $24.99 Gilded Cages Holiday Brush Set…

(And rub the six ultra plush brush heads all over my face.)

Cute clutch!

CUTE!

Sonia really outdid herself on the details this time, including the quality of the brush heads. At six for $24.99 (so about $4 apiece), they’re exceptionally soft, dense and hold their shape well.

Even the handles feel sturdy, although they’re a little lightweight for my taste. There are no gaps between them and the ferrules, or wriggly, loose parts, and the seamless black and gold fishnet pattern on the handles is another nice touch.

So far, the brushes have held up well with very little shedding or streaking. That’s a good sign, because I have had mixed luck with some of Sonia’s other brushes falling apart after two or three years (of course, that’s still quite a long while, considering the price of the set).

The clutch has a habit of catching on my clothing, but that’s a minor quibble. I like the size of the powder/blush, crease and foundation brush heads so much that I’m willing to overlook it. They’re just small enough to fit into the corners around my eyes, nose and mouth.

I guess time will tell if these brushes prove to be durable, but for now, I’m enjoying the set. 🙂

PRICE: $24.99 for the set
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Target stores and target.com

P.S. Hope you’re having a nice night. Tabs, El Hub and I are just settling down to watch Your Sister’s Sister on Netflix.

I’ve totally been eyeing this every time I go to Target! But it has so many similar brushes to their LE Star Studded (http://www.target.com/p/sonia-kashuk-limited-edition-star-studded-7-pc-brush-set/-/A-14024599), which I have. Cute packaging always sells for me, though! haha

Looks like I need to get over to Target soon!

I went to the movies yesterday with a friend and saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Best movie I’ve seen in a really long time. Just a really profound, moving, teenage coming-of-age movie. Amazing performances!

Nice to hear that these brushes are good quality! I LOVE Sonia Kashuk brushes but for some reason, I usually find that the LE ones that come in the cute sets are always of inferior quality compared to the regular ones. These look really nice though–the handles are so cute! I will definitely check out this set when I’m at Target next!

These look like nice brushes! I got her eye brush kit and I love it – it works great for eye looks! This set looks nice and I was eyeing up her breast cancer set (they were pink), too.

I’ll have to check these out next time I’m at Target. I’ve never tried Sonia Kashuk brushes but I’ve heard good reviews. Definitely a great value!

I saw them last week but I wasn’t convinced enough to buy them, I have never tried her brushes and I think I won’t buying this ones! And also Don’t know If they are synthetic… I’m a CF girl now 😃
