It was the last weekend before I have to go back to work and classes, so bittersweet! Zack and I did dinner and movies on Saturday (Silver Linings Playbook was cute!), today I did some marathon grocery shopping and we watched The Hunger Games on Blu-Ray. I also worked out both days, so that’s good!

Now I’m going to go relax with some fashion and beauty magazines while my gluten-free muffins are baking, and Quincy comes out for a hop.

I know that feeling all too well! I’m glad you were able to enjoy the last of your time off. It sounds like you had a nice weekend. And yay for getting the grocery shopping done! I just got back from a trip to Trader Joe’s for emergency provisions.

Mmmm, muffins. What kind did you make?

Hi to Quincy (and Jiji, too).

            Apple Cinnamon!

The furbabies say hi. Jiji was very snuggly during The Hunger Games, he kept me warm!

Sometimes I can’t believe that I used to see these two every day. Now it takes months and tons of back and forth e-mails to get together!

Hope you had a nice weekend. What did you do?

      Hi Heidi,

There were lots of good veggie options, too. My friend Jen had a veggie scramble that you probably would’ve liked. Next time you’re in Berkley hit up Venus! Highly recommended. 🙂

Looks like you 3 had a ton of fun! It is a lot of back and forth for me to plan stuff, too – with my current job and my future job I’ve become more of a last minute planner. I haven’t been to a spa before. It’s something I will do sometime soon though.

Sometimes amazing adventures can come from last-minute plans! 🙂

If/when you go to the spa, I highly recommend getting any type of massage with medium-pressure or a facial. Whenever I have either I feel like a completely new person when I leave.

      Hi Suzy,

I always get it with the sauce on the side, which is why it looks kinda funny.

looks like it was an awesome, relaxing time! i think it’s great that you still keep in touch with friends from high school. it gets more difficult to find time to reconnect with people. the food looks delish!

      Hi Sillylilacs,

It is the best. Do you get to see your two friends from high school often? I see Jen and Cindy at least every two months or so.

        Hi Karen!

One of them is in PA school near where I am attending school, so we get to see each other 2-4x/year. My other friend is in Seattle, and I’m in Chicago, so we see each other once a year 🙁
