We made it to another weekend, and you did a great job, by the way. Someone should tell you that.
I just finished my breakfast (buttered toast with guava jelly), and now I’m gonna go get changed for a run.
I haven’t exercised since Monday or Tuesday of this week, and it’s buggin’ the heck out of me. I mean to every day, but then time gets away from me. You know how it is, blah, blah, blah…
After that, who knows? El Hub and I have been talking about planning a trip somewhere, so maybe we’ll do that. Kauai or Maui, maybe Florida or somewhere else warm. We’ll see.
I also want to go look at bird-feeders at the hardware store for Tabs. I could hang one from the awning above the back deck. I love birds, and Tabs does too…although for different reasons, of course.

Started off the weekend good, saw Jurassic Park in 3D, one of my favorite childhood movies!
Happy weekend. I am still working here, yes, I do need to recharge but not sure if it’s going to happen…I am still wearing my pastel nail polish that I painted my nails with for Easter. Tomorrow is a manicure day. Scrunchies? No, never since elementary school (but I am not judging you :-P)
So last night I had a dream we were best friends and went to a chic diner and had chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of cat faces. Then we went and tried on lipstick. So basically we’re fated to be.
I’m on a diet and grumpy, so I’ve been looking at makeup sites to distract myself. I love makeup 🙂

I love candle lit bubble baths. It’s so relaxing, and not having the bright bathroom lights in your face makes it even nicer. 🙂
Girl, let’s talk about coming to grips with things. I tried to put on some eyeshadow from my UD Vice palette last night, and within 30 minutes, my eyes were burning and watering. Had to take it all off. Problem is, I’m not sure what the exact culprit is. I was wearing no less than 6 or 7 different things on my eyes, and I’d have to go through an individual test period for each to figure it out. And you know ain’t nobody got time for that, LOL. Guess I have to go buy some soothing eye cream in the meantime.

I love the thought of Spring/Summer being on its way, especially considering I live In the N.E. We have had a horrible fall, starting with Hurricane Sandy and quite a few snowstorms and even a blizzard! I am trying different makeup looks and experimenting with different colors to welcome the warmer weather( if it EVER gets here.) right now I’m playing with pinks and purples on my eyes, which I love in other people. I’m pretty neutral with the eye shadow colors I use so,if I were lucky enough(I NEVER win anything, unless you consider greenery at 15 a prize lol) to win this prize, I would definately buy different colored eye shadows to play with!! I used to do a cat eyeliner look everyday but as I got older i started to embrace my more natural self. I do cat eyes if I’m going out or if there’s a special occasion. I will admit that nothing brings out my eyes like that does but I can’t always find the time to do it.
Just bought Essie In the Cabana — a gorgeous blue. Also got the minty First Timer. They look really noce together and so springy! I didn’t think I could pull pastels off, but it worked on my NC 35 skin.
I love the look of painted nails, and love nail polish, but rarely paint my nails. I’m too hard on them, and they end of breaking. Doesn’t stop me from wanting polish whenever I see it.
I’m watching Bridezillas and everyone’s yelling! Aah!

I am a norwegian going to boarding school in Connecticut and right now I am in my dorm room, really happy because I just came back from a friend in another dorm, where 4 girls were gathered and we talked about so much and I really feel that I got to know them better. Yup I line my eyes…I’m too lazy to use mascara, so lining for me is rather essential. For years the only eyeliner pencil I owned was Nars Mambo, but I’ve branched out some (with London, and a couple Larger Than Life’s). Wondering now how the Urban Decay 24/7 liners are.

I adore mangoes. That really has to be my favorite fruit. One of my family members had a mango tree just in front of their house and when I’d go there as a child, I loved wandering the area and picking up the fallen ones for snacks.

I love bubble baths, but I recently starting using a foaming shower oil (the L’Occitane almond oil one) in the bath instead of a more traditional bubble bath, and it’s really helped keep the moisture in my skin!

I have had a bubble bath before when I was a little kid but my doctor made me stop because I got infections because of it.
I used to line my eyes each day with a classic cat-eye, but now I’m focusing on lips for the spring/summer!
This is my first time on your blog- it’s a nice start! And I also had a bubble bath lead to an infection as a child. It was heartbreaking. The bubble bath was in this awesome purple cat bottle that I LOVED. But I couldn’t use it anymore after I got a UTI 🙁

Hey Karen, I’m a green thumb. I love flowers especially orchids, birds of paradise, pink bromeliads or any tropical plant. I have a small herb and tomato garden. I don’t even mind the weeds and bugs that drop by my garden. 😀
I had to work yesterday, I came home late and now my appartment is a mess and I have to leave tomorrow morning for another long week.
I love pineapples, but hate preparing it so I’ll always eat them in a hotel.

I think I last wore a scrunchie some time in the nineties… I did, however, get very adept in the use of hair sticks the last time I had long hair.

I have two bird feeders fairly close to a big window and my cats love watching the birds. Their eyes get real big and their tails twitch. Good thing there’s glass between them and the little feathered cuties!
I’m currently wearing Essie’s “Hip-Anema” on my fingernails and “Madison Ave-hue” on my toes! They were an Easter gift from my mom and I’m obsessed! They’re great for spring!
I do have a green thumb! I’m slowly populating my house with plants… I have a Queen Pothos on my desk, one on a bookcase in the bedroom, a planter of English ivy and tea roses in the living room, and planters of succulents and chamomile on the kitchen window sill. 🙂

Right now I’m wearing this light pink OPI nail polish and I can’t stop it, but look at my nails every 5 mins. I love pink and this one is to die for. I hope you get to plan a trip today with El Hub! I recommend Florida’s Emerald Coast (panhandle) – soft, sugar white sand and crystal green water! It’s magical. I painted my nails last night in OPI Mod About You and layered Essie’s Set in Stones in the half-moon and did a little gradiant. It’s one of my favorite manicures and I might even wear it for my wedding next April! Have a happy weekend, gurl!

I like bubble baths, but I can’t seem to find bubbles that last long enough.
It’s funny one of the questions was about lining your eyes. I always do. Like every single time I do makeup. Today was the first time ever I didn’t line them. And I really liked how it looked. I was able to emphasize my eyelashes much more.

I rocked the scrunchi all through the 90’s….I might regret that. Although they were super handy and comfortable. I have had a wonderful weekend! The hubs and I got a new bed and we love it! I went to Sephora at JCP yesterday and a complete makeuover using the NARS line. It was a special promotion. I love the new lip pencil, very creamy and stays longer than most lippies. I was not thrilled with the colors the MUA used on my eyes (browns), but the quality of the product was good. Love, love, love the foundation she used, it was the NARS Sheer Matte foundation in Santa Fe (I’m a MAC NW20 in the Spring). So – if I win the $50 gift card, I’ll be buying some of the NARS foundation!

My favorite fruit – Macoun apples fresh from the orchard in the fall. Maui or Kauai both sound wonderful. We were last in Kauai 5 years ago and really miss it. Hubs and I got married in Honolulu 36 years ago this month.

My favorite fruit has always been pineapple but the pink and Ruby red grapefruit has been especially fantastic this season. On my nails is Zoya Portia. Lovely neutral pink. Scrunchie? LOL! Had to be in the 80s. I still blame you for my night run in the rain to Target for that Sonia Kashuk palette. Takes a lot to get me back in the bra after it has come off! LOL!

I’m not one for frequent baths but a couple of weeks ago I took a bath with a lush bath bomb…it was okay. The one I used was Rose Queen and it left a lot of bits of stuff in the tub and it didn’t smell very rosy. But now I have a Rose Jam bubblroon which smells awesome-ly rosy and I can’t wait to use it!!! In the meantime it’s making my hall closet smell so good!

I have china glaze growth treatment on my nails right now. Normally I have gorgeous nails but I’m a dork and ruined them while scrubbing tile (yuck) and have been trying to grow them back for 3 months now. It sucks really. Love the china glaze formula thought it has helped a lot.
I like bubble baths and have taken them, but they’re an awful lot of trouble…gotta scrub down the tub before I fill it, things like that.
My cat Vera always sniffs my face after I put some makeup(especially if it’s lip gloss)! I love your blog! 🙂
