Something Shoe-rrific This Way Comes: A Quick Pic Run Through DSW

May 8th, 2013 by Karen 19 Comments

Shoes and cute purses

Sometimes when I visit DSW absolutely nothing lights my fire, but today? Oh, boy, today… It was like purse-gasm and summer wedge nirvana up in there.

So many cute things! Heck, I even found a few pairs of flats I didn’t totally hate…

The Big Buddha purse ($60). I think this one’s really beautiful in real life. It has these subtle sparkly beads woven into the design, and I spotted the same exact bag at Nordstrom a few months ago for $100!

Oh, and it also comes in three colors…

And the Big Buddha black studded purse ($70). Um…I have no idea what’s going on with my hair here.

Really like this one, but I think it might look cuter on a taller person’s arm (I’m hella short).

The Deux Lux beige braided purse ($90)

The Poverty Flats color-blocked purse ($50). This one was also $100 at Nordstrom.

Talk about colors that go with almost anything.

The $70 Deux Lux white purse (complete with rose gold studs)

The Big Buddah cross body purse ($35)

The Urban Expressions coral clutch ($35)

The Urban Expressions black clutch ($30)

The Kelsi Dagger Cross Body Bag ($60)

Seychelles wedges, $70

They come in silver too!

The Not Rated Polka Dot Pumps ($45)… Love the pink accents!

I think these G By Guess Heels ($60) are way too high for me, but I think that pop of coral and those gold studs are super cute.

Adrienne Vittadini wedges ($79). How hot is that detailing and those studs? LOVE!

Steve Madden coral sandals ($50). I feel chipper just looking at ’em.

Franco Sarto Wedges ($60)

Crown Vintage wedges ($70)

These Born Flats ($80) are surprisingly comfortable, but I’d love a little more arch support… I ended up putting them on hold, just in case.

So short in flats, LOL!

Calvin Klein flats ($60)

I sure dig these Tahari flats ($70)… So beautiful and sparkly! But the heel part kinda hurts.

Love these BGBG flats ($50), and they’re pretty comfortable, too.

I only made it through about a quarter of the store before I had to physically remove myself.

I’m gonna let it simmer tonight…

If I’m still lusting after anything tomorrow, then it’s on like Donkey Kong, LOL! It's on

How was your hump day? Did you come across any cute shoes?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

What!? I’m like the DSW spokeswoman among friends and people who see my shoes pictures lol. I am a Premier member with their loyalty program, have been a few years now lol. I save so much money because I stack coupons(always a beautiful thing). I get free shoes from earning points….I’m sure you know all about this. I just get a rush talking about them and shopping there woooo. Its warm in here. I have $110 in rewards I’m trying to save until my birthday, but I won’t make it lol

I usually don’t care for shoes but those Steve Madden sandals are really beautiful, both in color and shape. I have a soft spot for bags and purses though, I just can’t go away without at least glancing at them.

I have the Tahari flats in black, and they’re really comfy. Usually I have a hard time finding flats too!

I think my favorite item was the Kelsi Dagger bag. But that may also be because I love the song Chelsea Dagger. HAHA!

OOO I love that green pair of wedges! I’ve been on a bit of a wedge hunt. I can’t really wear heels, but I’m fine in wedges!

This is a great post! I purposely didn’t go into DSW yesterday, even though I was in the shop next to it. I will do too much damage. And for anyone who lives in Boca Raton, FL – DSW is next door to Ulta! Shoes and cosmetics lol.

I’ve never even been in that store – clearly missing out! I love the aqua blue platforms you’re wearing – are those from there, or your own?

DSW is like heaven! I love the Big Buddha handbag with orange accents but I also love the mini crossbody Big Buddha purse. Was it very small? And those BGBG flats look really cute too.

I love your DSW posts because they give me ideas of new shoes I want to buy! 🙂

I bought the Franco Sarto wedges in teal. They were a half-size too big, but I was hoping they would still work. Unfortunately, when I gave them a trial run at home they weren’t totally comfortable.

They are really cute though and I’m going to see if I can find my size online.

I want those Tahari silver flats!

Also, I think you’ll appreciate that I scored a black leather Michael Kors Weekender bag at TJ’s last week that I’m going to use for my diaper bag. Just because it’s filled with toys, bottles and diapers doesn’t mean it can’t be fabulous. It has a waterproof liner and everything. It was 50% off retail, too. I was skipping around the store when I found it and Hubby was just laughing at me.

I love to go virtual shopping with you, Karen! My faves are the Franco Sarto Wedges but, not sure I could wear them without falling on my face. Even though I’m barely 5’2″, I’m in flats constantly. My faves are Anne Klein’s AK Sport line. They are so comfortable and cute, too. Got my first pair at DSW, in fact!

Gurl, I have those tahari flats in black leather! I love them and have abused them (they got soaked in rain)! They need to be replaced but they’re just so comfy. But those sparkly ones… OMG! I think I have to go to my DSW here and get those! <3

I vote “yes” for the flats. Despite the little arch support, they’re alright to wear for a day or two and switching between shoes is good!
