Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude, a Drugstore Beauty Baller

May 27th, 2013 by Karen 21 Comments

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Nude

Drugstore baller!

For a minute there I thought I saw Rimmel’s Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in 005 Nude walk by wearing a bunch of gold chains and carrying a pimp cup…

Because it’s that good.

Creamy like polenta, hella pigmented and softer than the center of a hot grilled cheese sammich…

Mmm… Cheesy.

Yes, if you can’t tell, I’m currently hungry.

It’s a rock star pencil liner! — and its favorite venues are lash and water lines. This neutral, matte peachy beige never skips or pulls at my skin, and it sticks around a good, long while once applied.

It’s in my regular rotation of products. I wear it a lot to highlight my brows, right up under the arches, where it gives ’em a little lift.

I really like the way the color works with my NC42 skin because it’s not too overloaded with pink pigment, so it doesn’t contrast with my natural skin tone too much.

Best of all, it’s only $5.

Wow!

PRICE: $5
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Target, Ulta, most drugstores and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+

What are you up to this afternoon? Did you get the day off for Memorial Day?

I’m taking it easy. El Hub stayed home from work today, so we’re just spending some time together. Gonna make a huge pot of pasta and red sauce for early dinner (he’s having his with ground beef, but mine will be veggie), get some fresh sourdough bread, maybe bust open a bottle of wine, and rent a movie.

That’s it for moi. I hope you’re having a good day.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I have this pencil and I love it.

I’m back home from my vacation. Now I need some rest 🙂

This pencil is one of my favorite things I own. I’ve tried some other nude liners, and their either never the right color or they pull and hurt.

I need to go to the post office and was almost out my door today when I remembered it’s a holiday! When I don’t have my class schedule to rely on, I never remember holidays or even the current day of the week haha

I really dig the shade, I love how it’s not too pink, the pink ones look so weird on me. I am very tempted to get one of these babies myself, the shade is just so perfect!

Looks like I definitely need to pick this up once I finish my NARS Rue Bonaparte eyeliner!

Too dark for a nude, for me, but I’m glad to see that eye-brightener eyeliner shades are coming to the drugstore! I use a L’Oreal double-ended eyeliner pencil where one end is an ivory/cream color.

We had a fun day. We went to lunch, to the mall, to the arcade (I put a pretty high score up on Tetris, and Zack got a bunch of replays on some pinball games), and then we played cards with a friend of his. There was ice cream too, so that was good!

We meant to go to Target (I have some coupons I want to use) but it was raining like crazy, so we just went home.

The color looks beautiful, but I know these liners don’t last well on the waterline 🙁

I LOVE that liner! I use it to line my bottom waterline just to make my eyes appear bigger and fresher. I usually have a bad track record with pencil liners, but the formula in this one has been so impressive. It sticks and doesn’t smudge throughout the day.

I’m tempted to buy the black version!

Love this pencil! My only complaint is that if I have any dark liner (various brands) on the top water line, it transfers on to this color so easily and washes away. Any tips?

Hooray for a yellow-toned nude pencil! I might pick this one up for my waterline when I don’t want to use Anastasia Brow Duality in Lace or UD Smog.

I wear this eyeliner everyday! It’s amazing and super long lasting. It was so hard to find, though! Both Ulta’s near me are always sold out. I found it once at Target and it was the last one (score).

Oh I will have to pick one of those up! For a drugstore brand, Rimmel can be quite surprising. No day off for me since I’m in Canada! 🙁 Hope you had a good one! xx

I reviewed this too–it’s better than Tarte’s Inner Rim Brightener for less than half the price! The other colors are nice too, I have deep blue (navy) and purple.

I’m an NC42 too, but still think it’s a bit stark for my waterline. Defo better than a white but I wish they’d make more variations with darker/yellower nudes idk :))

Agreed! I love these Scandal Eyes eyeliner! They apply like a dream 🙂 The nude is perfect and I love how it really brightens without being too crazy. It is quite the perfect shade 😛
