These Pacifica Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples Were Designed for Desert Islands Where You Can Only Bring One Thing to Wear on Your Eyes, Cheeks and Lips

May 31st, 2013 by Karen 24 Comments

Pacifica Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples
Here I’m wearing the Pacifica Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples color in Bronze on my cheeks

“Mo’ coco, mo’ coco, mo’ coco!”

Those are either the lyrics to Ice-T’s comeback song/ode to his voluptuous wife (is that woman’s butt for real!?), or what goes through my head when I open the new $12 Pacifica Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples. 🙂

Pacifica infused this palette’s multitasking bronze, pink and beige shimmers with coconut extract, and if you put a little on the back of your hand and sniff, they even smell like it.

The colors feel kinda wet and creamy in their pans but dry down to a powdery finish as you work them into your skin.

Neato.

Wear ’em on your cheeks, eyes, lips — heck, your entire body — for sheer color and a soft glow.

And if you want more pigment, you can always layer.

Be careful with these and contact, though. They scoot around and eventually disappear if I forget I’m wearing them and touch them at all.

I mostly wear them on my cheeks and lips, although I’m not really crazy about ’em as lip products. They’re quite sheer and feel dry.

In a pinch, they’ll do as blushes and highlighters, but they get wiggly on me throughout the day and only last about 4-5 hours, so they’re not the first face products I’d reach for.

PRICE: $12 (pretty good price)
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Target stores and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Don’t forget to stop and smell the zinnias today. 🙂

These sounded perfect for me – coconut + highlighter = the dream. But the wear time sounds ehh. Neither of the targets near me had this so I guess I’ll learn to survive without it lol! TGIF girlie!!

TGIF, Tiffany! The weekend can’t come soon enough. What are you and the fam doing? Is the weather nice out there?

It’s nice but pretty hot! About 88 degrees or so everyday. Tomorrow we are going to visit my grandparents. My grandma fell and broke a bone in her leg 🙁

Sunday morning I’m going to see the wedding venue where I’m second shooting later this month. Need to practice my flash skills. I’m sure we will fit some fun in too, maybe take Abbie to the park. What are you up to this weekend? Is it sad that I was looking on Facebook and was like, wow, all my friends are out tonight eating or movies… And then I remembered, duh it’s Friday! Lol! Friday doesn’t mean much to me anymore haha.

As cool as products like these are (that can be used on lips/eyes/cheeks) I never like using them that way. I’m just scared of like…cross contamination or something. Is that just me?

But I’d totally use these as a cheek product though.

      Hi Trisha,

I don’t really worry about that, but if it’s a concern you could always just use brushes and not fingers.

K-Dawg – Ice T is married to CoCo! Are you trying to start another rumor about CoCo and her big buns cheating on T??

LOL, thanks for catching that Maria! I meant to write Ice T but wrote Ice Cube instead. Got my Ice references wrong!!

Too bad they weren’t long wearing, because it looks like a handy little palette to have.

I know! You could always try layering it with a powder blush. That helps!

Oh yeah, this would indeed make a great all-in-one palette for that deserted island trip we all keep fantasizing about 🙂

I’d been wondering about these! I’ve been a Target fiend ever since ours added a grocery section!

Tabs is gorgeous with his flowers.

      Hi Chelsea,

He is OBSESSED with my zinnia plants. I have to watch him like a hawk to make sure he doesn’t eat them all. 🙂

Happy Friday! I just got back from SF from doing a bunch of interviews. What are you up to today?

I did very little productive, I need to get going on a paper! I spent my day off lounging around with Jiji and Quincy.

I bought these the other day but haven’t had the chance to try them yet. I did swatch them and was a bit disappointed with the sheerness. That’s a bummer they have a short wear time because I want a cream blush to wear a nice glowey look when I’m outside all day. Yum the coconut smells amazing tho!

      Hi Bree,

You could always try layering a blush on top to extend the wear time a little. That always helps.

These are certainly pretty but I am just imagining the texture now after hearing you describe it and the way it slips around after a while. The very silicone-y cream-to-powder type formula. Not my favorite so I think I will be passing :/ Definitely want to try those coconut wipes you showed us the other day though! 😀

Karen, are you wearing that gorgeous Pixi teal eyeliner that you just posted about recently? I went to Target to pick it up, and it was the ONLY Pixi eyeliner shade that was sold out!! I think I wailed, “Ohhhh noooo!!” aloud, lol. I am jonesing to add this one to my collection. I have Black Plum/ Dark Plum (?) on the way and I also have my eyes on Blackest Blue (??? I am totally blanking on the names right now) Whatever is on your lower lash line, it is bangin’, girl!

They look so pretty so to hear that they disappear if you even touch your face, is disappointing!
