Hi I just recently start reading your blog!
I wanted to try colored contact lenses before, but my eyes are so bad they don’t make them up to the degree of correction I need!
When I was a teenager I really wanted tinted contact lenses. Not only were they more in style than they are today, I thought that brown eyes were so boring and I wore corrective lenses everyday anyway so the change made sense. But I’ve embraced the brownness of my eyes now, so I wouldn’t do it today 🙂
I wish my dogs would stop thinking of the cats’ litter box as their own personal buffet.

I used to wear coloured contacts in high school (purple ones!) I’m happy I outgrew that one!!
I also went off caffeine a few years ago. It made me get horrible migraines and my faced cleared up too.

Revlon Colorstay for Combo/Oil Skin is My Favorite Foundation, but I Recently Tried the NEW Cover Girl Outlast 3-in-1 Foundation and I am really loving it so far.
I don’t really wear foundation, but I got a sample of Liz Earle’s Sheer Skin Tint, and I love it (more than my Mac Face & Body, which is the only other foundation I ever tried)! I’ll definitely be buying the full size.

I’ve always wanted to try tinted contacts but have just stuck with my regular ones.
I wish I could figure out what to do with my hair when I wear hats. I live in Dallas and it’s super windy here, which makes hat wearing challenging, but I need one to protect me from the burning death ball in the sky. I’ve tried putting a chin tie on my hats, but look silly. I’ve tried putting my hair up and using a hat pin, but I wind up looking bald. Why am I a hat moron?
The All Natural Face makes my shade of foundation, I’m a hard match.
Right now I’m loving the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation — it feels light on my skin but conceals all my acne scars. I also like the squeeze tube. A potential HG!
I’m such an enabler. Today my Mother went ahead and tried on Guerlain Lingerie de Peau and loved it – totally my fault. If only they had a few more shades in their range, I’d wear it myself. I’m too pale for many foundation ranges these days.
I don’t really know if people don’t *like* this product, but I never hear anyone talking about the Neutrogena mattifying primer. I love that stuff!

the best chocolate i ever had was from opoland. my 5th cousins came to visit us from poland and brought me a huge milk chocolate bar with hazelnuts. Ever since then that has been my favourite kind of chocolate to get. even if its not from poland.

My favorite foundation is one from Sephora that has been discontinued. It was the Hydrating & Smoothing foundation, and not necessarily because of the formula or the finish but most of all because the color (D35) matched my skintone exactly. When the SA swatched this on my cheek I had never seen a better match for my skin, it was yellow and dark enough to match my skin. Unfortunately it has been discontinued, and I haven’t found any other foundations that match my skin as perfectly.
I just recently found your blog and i love it!!! My go to foundation is the Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation.

my favourite foundation is Bobbi Brown’s Skin! it’s my go-to, but for now, due to sequestration, i use revlon’s naked foundation. it’s close to my colour with bobbi, and it’s about $7 with coupons. it’ll have to do for now. :/

Hi Karen! I’m new to your blog and I’m absolutely loving it. Thanks for the giveaway! My favorite two-product makeup combination right now is the Nars Multiple in South Beach on my cheeks and eyes, with Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Boy on my lips- such an easy, glowy look for summer. 🙂
My favorite foundation is Dior Forever – covers well, lasts all day, looks natural – but they don’t have a good color match for my darker-in-the-summer skin. The best concealer I’ve tried is MAC Pro Longwear, but sadly, like all other MAC products, it breaks me out.
Right now I’m in the midst of a horrible, months-long, nightmarish skin situation in which my skin is so dry it flakes and peels yet broken out all over in angry pimples and mottled with huge blackheads. I’ve tried everything and even gone back to ProActiv but the zits just keep on comin’. Now it’s summer and I want to go to the pool and beach but I’m so uncomfortable without makeup to hide my ravaged skin! It’s the worst!
BTW, I’m 36. I’ve had mild acne since I was 12 but it’s never ben this bad.
I actually arrived very late to the caffeine thing. I always told myself I would never start, and then once I started having a painfully long commute to work, well, bring on the caffeine. Never coffee, though, only tea. I actually can’t stand the smell of coffee. And when I can’t stand the smell of something, I’m not going to try it.
I think my favourite combo is Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint topped with Coralista lipgloss. The perfect coral lip 😀

School depends on the subject. If it’s programming, it’s fun… I use Dr. Hauschka foundation. It’s expensive and the colors are dreadful, but I need something to tint my sunscreen with (to keep it from looking white) and provide a little coverage, so its natural formula is attractive. It lasts so long, I keep it in the fridge.

I wanted purple or indigo contact lenses, but I’m glad I didn’t get them (because they would have looked weird against my skin color and hair color, and also, I’m not sure if I could ever wear them, because I am really freaking out by anything getting close to my eyes :D).
As for beauty products/tips people hate but I love… I actually like lip contour a shade or two darker than the lipstick – Lana Del Rey actually sported lips like that in the H&M campaign, and it looked so flawless and elegantly sensual.
Well this just made me happier than a turtle on a conveyer belt!!

I’ve only been blogging for a couple of years and I can’t seem to get the hang of it but that’s ok because I’m still trying. I started blogging because I needed somewhere other than my notebooks to write. I have dreamed of being a writer since I was in elementary school. Telling stories have always fascinated me and because of everything going on I’ve had no me time. Now I want to trying blogging again by sharing with the world my new stories. I’ve, of course, included Sephora because its my favorite store in the world and everyone should know of its awesomeness. This day has been amazing and may it stay as beautiful as the written word.

Right now I think the best chocolate is Lindt’s Lindor truffles.
I love my contacts in the color amethyst by fresh look. And to pair with those I wear falsies and my eyes just become bigger and brighter!!!! So now that I got my eyes down I need to find out how to go your correctly.
I tried colored contacts (circled lenses) before and it was a BIG mistake! Just made me look like I had alien eyes and they dried my eyes out. Never again.
Chocolate covered gummy bears are the best! And i’ve really been wanting to try some of tartes makeup and buy urban decay foundation…or a bb creams not sure, i want to cover pores but i’m okay with showing my freckles. 8)

I wore colored contacts for almost twenty years, until I had corrective eye surgery last year. I didn’t drastically change my eye color, just played up one of the colors my eyes would turn depending on what I wore clothing and makeup wise.
I love chocolate and I love lip gloss so once I tried chocolate lip gloss. It was terrible! Worst product ever! I’ll just continue wearing pretty gloss while eating chocolate!
I am having a very lazy Saturday, been watching movies with my cat Cassie all afternoon. By bf was fishing all day. Has anyone seen “Behind the Candelabra”?
i don’t have a favorite foundation yet. i’m a bit indecisive when it comes to bases in general. the tie up at the moment would be between chanel vitalumiere aqua and clarins skin illusion liquid foundation. both are beautiful and great for summer!
I’ve never stopped drinking caffeine. I would be miserable without my coffee.
I have never worn tinted contacts, but I have worn circle lenses…and woah! they are insane!!
As much as I like long nails, I don’t think I could ever have them myself. I have no idea how to maintain and shape my nails to that length. Also, I really hate getting stuff under my nails and I think I’d get a lot of nasty stuff under them if they were long. My fingers are quite lengthy so…I suppose I really don’t need to make them any longer.

Ok, I have to admit it, I didn’t know about the Sephora Disney Collection until I picked up the Jasmine mirror. Once I saw what a huge deal the Cinderella pieces were, I scoured EBay until I could find it and bid $100.00 to buy it. Welp, I must have won because it arrived about a week ago. Just discovered the show Fringe on Netflix, very entertaining. Anyway I’ve been loving my Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation and I’ve learned that less product is best. Beautiful finish but very matte. Perfect for us oily skin gals.

My cosmetic accomplishment of the day was finding a LE summer color of Maybelline’s Color Tattoo that I’ve been keeping an eye out for over the past few weeks (Seashore Frosts). There was only one of them in stock, and I got 25% off, too!
I’ve also been looking out for Pacifica at my nearby Target, but they aren’t carrying them (yet?). Your posts about their eye shadows caught my attention.

Ooh, I had tinted contacts for a bit in middle school, one purple pair and one green. Unfortunately the colored bit wasn’t quite large enough and I was always walking around with a ring of color in my peripheral vision.

Hello, my favorite ‘dual’ use product is galapagos eye shadow from Nars it is great as a crease color or apply it as a soften eyeliner to define eyes.

Oh how I love Sephora. I wish our big one was closer like yours. Just read your blog on the too faced bronzers and I have yet to try any of theirs so that will be a definite purchase soon. I just got some of the new Victoria Secret bronzers and I must say they are very nice.
I actually don’t like wearing foundation, I find them too heavy, but I love me some BB cream or tinted moisturizer. My favorite right now is the Estee Lauder BB cream! It smells amazing!

I like powder foundations becuse of my hella oily skin, and so far the one I like best is Laura Gellar Balance n Brighten, with Bobbi Brown’s loose mineral powder running a close second.

My favorite foundation is Chanel Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup. It’s great for dry skin, it’s really light and very smooth.

Dr Jart+ Renewalist BB Cream (in the red tube) is my fave foundation/BB cream. Excellent coverage, doesn’t make me break out, doesn’t look chalky or overly “glowy” 🙂

It’s funny you mention the caffeine thing. I actually just gave up caffeine because it makes my eczema worse. It just sucks because I’m in college and I need my coffee when I do those all nighters. Darn!
I love school. I constantly enjoy learning new things, so I actually just signed up for a new certification course and am studying for that over the next 5 months!
European chocolate is the best! Not even fancy stuff, just whatever you can get at a grocery store. So much better than US chocolate, it’s something to do with the amount of wax we put in ours. I just got back from Ireland with a big bag of the stuff and can’t wait to dive in headfirst!

Cadbury make some gooooood chocolate. Their dark chocolate Bourneville is especially good and they have a new chocolate bar out that has jelly bits, candy shells (like tiny Smarties) and popping candy in it and it’s a sweet treat indeed! Putting me in the mood for one right now!

Hmm. Best Chocolate? I used to think Godiva but I’ve had some Dove Dark Chocolate that was uber delish. I’m not that much of a “straight” chocolate eater but I would guess a European brand would probably top my list. Best chocolate chips–Trader Joe’s brand. Really rich and not too sweet. Best chocolate chip cookies–High Brow that I buy at Trader Joe’s. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT EVER BUY THESE!!!!! I used to be a chewy chocolate chip cookie lover, but these crispy, buttery cookies have converted me. I complain at TJ’s every time I buy a package that really need to discontinue this item. These are so good that you could bring these on a plate to a potluck and swear you made them from an old family recipe. THAT GOOD! You have been warned. DO NOT BUY THESE.

I have searched for afoundation that matches my skin for the past 10 yrs of my life and I have finally found it. Chanel! Chanel number 40 matt lumiere is amazing. I will probably never use a diff that is unless they discontinue it.
One of my favorite combinations is L’oreal True Match blush in Soft Sun paired with Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Toast of New York.
I spent the day studying for my summer anatomy class, and after learning all about different types of skin cancer I’m now researching face sunscreens to wear under my foundation from here on out! Nursing school is changing my beauty routine!
Favorite foundation is MAC Face and Body. Love it. Also, I LOVE coffe but try to avoid caffeine. I don’t like that I feel like a slave to caffeine. The awful headaches while trying to ween myself off is awful!

I haven’t found my HG foundation yet.
I went to get some colored contacts a few weeks ago, and my eye doctor said that almost every brand of colored contacts in the US will be discontinued (freshlook colors is the exception) by the end of 2013. This is because they don’t sell enough because there isn’t a big market in the US.
aw crap did I make the deadline? my favorite foundations are Revlon’s old standby Colorstay and Kat Von D’s Lock-It, but I have huge pores and a lot of acne scarring so some days even the favorites don’t work the way they usually do, so I’m always on the hunt for new things to try!
