Run Six Miles in a Minute (Or Just Look Like You Did) With MAC’s Immortal Flower Blush

June 5th, 2013 by Karen 33 Comments

MAC Immortal Flower Blush
That’s me wearing MAC Immortal Flower Blush ($21)

Prior to today, if I’d heard the phrase, “immortal flowers,” I would have thought, “plastic plants,” like the kind my eccentric aunt hoards.

Now, though, I’m still thinking that…but I’m also thinking about a blush from MAC’s new All About Orange collection.

MAC Immortal Flower Powder Blush
Immortal Flower Powder Blush, $21

Bright peach MAC Immortal Flower Blush is such a dainty delight. It’s almost the exact same color as my cheeks after I finish a six-mile run…sans the icky perspiration and treadmill karaoke, which is when you silently mouth the words to whatever you’re listening to while you’re running and occasionally fist pump in the air (so help me gawd, when Beyonce is belting in my ear about claiming my diva status, it cannot be helped).

Immortal Flower on my NC 42 skin

All this to say that this faux flower sure looks natural on the skin, like you were born to appear on the cover of Fitness magazine, running down a stretch of beach in a bikini with a butt that defies gravity.

MAC Immortal Flower Blush

Easy to blend, with an eight-hour wear time and a dope satin finish that makes the color pop even more on the skin, Immortal Flower is a great option when you want a natural-looking peach blush that requires little to no work.

OH, HELL YES! 🙂

PRICE: $21
AVAILABILITY: Available now online, and coming Jun 6 to MAC counters and stores

      Hi Nicole,

It’s more peach and just a tinge darker.

    Want. Need.

Hahaha I think treadmill karaoke is the same as office karaoke. I can’t help doing the Mariah air piano with my fingers and wiggle in my office chair every single time Mariah comes on. 😀

Okay – you may have sold me on this. Immortal Flower was the only blush from this collection that I wasn’t going to pick up. We’ll see haha.

Haven’t had time yet, although I’ve pinned things I want to buy on Pinterest so I remember.

I got the dress code – it’s business casual, but jeans are acceptable daily as long as they’re nice. I need to buy some nice tops, some jeans, some nicer pants, I found some skirts I want, I need shoes, I need intimates… I have a lot to do! I’m also going to treat myself to some Chanel, I got a $25 Macy’s gift card with my credit card points. I’ll probably hit up Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, H&M, Express, Macy’s… I might head to the bigger mall that’s a little further away to hit up the real Nordstrom.

I might also treat myself to a manicure or pedicure or something.

NICE. Wish I lived closer so I could be your shopping buddy and vicariously live through you, LOL. The first thing I always think about when buying new clothes: will the pet hair show up on it?

What are you going to get from Chanel? I’ve got a few things in my online basket right now prepped for my b-day. Some nail polishes and soaps.

I’m definitely going to get the lotion to go with my Chance Eau Tendre fragrance. I just got mascara from them, so I don’t need that. Maybe a lippie or a blush? Or some fragrance? I’m not sure.

Oh nice. I’ve used Chanel’s body lotions before and they’re nice and light — great for summer.

I vote for a blush. You can’t go wrong with the Joues Contrastes.

Well I don’t know about you, but I’d definitely look way less pretty than you after running six miles in a minute 😛
It’s a gorgeous blush though and it suits you amazingly!

Very pretty! And I’m laughing because I usually “quietly” huff-puff-sing while I’m on the treadmill. I also think it’s funny that your aunt hoards plastic plants. You should get a pic of that. 🙂

GURL, it’s all about the treadmill karaoke. I’m about to jump on it right now as a matter of fact, and I have Version 2.0 from Garbage lined up. It’s ripe for huff-puff-singing and fist pumping. 😀

I know how everyone loves orange but I’m not a big fan of orange lipsticks. None of the lipsticks from this collection caught my eye but this blush is lovely!
