The Mega Moisturizing Lippies in Edward’s Best 8-Color Lipstick Palette Could Best the Driest Climate

November 8th, 2013 by Karen 20 Comments

Edward's Best 8-Color Lipstick Palette by Edward Bess
Wearing Jasmine Blossom Lipstick from the $75 Edward’s Best 8-Color Lipstick Palette by Edward Bess

I want to hang out with Edward Bess…

I mean, have you seen this man’s mane? It looks like it should be moving in slo-mo in a shampoo commercial with, like, birds singing in the background and sh*t.

We could hang out, talk hair, and chat about the $75 Edward’s Best 8-Color Lipstick Palette and how it’s creamy lipstick heaven in a pan. Eventually, I’d segue into my master plan to become the world’s first lipstick nomad/cat lady.

We’d be at Starbucks. I’d reach across the small table, take his hands in mine and say, “Edward, I think it would be really cool to travel the world with a whole cadre of lipsticks, like 100 of them, and take pics of myself wearing a different shade in every new location.”

He would respond, “That’s a wonderful idea, Karen. Let me help you…”

The pigmented lippies in this 8-pan palette could get me through at least one country — perhaps one with a dry, cold climate, since all of these are crazy moisturizing, and wearing them soothes my lips like ahhhhh.

“Edward,” I’d ask, taking a sip of my pumpkin spice latte, “may I french braid your hair?”

“Of course,” he’d reply. “You may.”

I really don’t know much about this brand and I have never tested anything from them. What are your favorite products from Edward Bess? Any suggestion on what to start with?

Girl the peppermint mocha is back at Starbucks too!! I’ve had my first cup of the season yesterday night! I love that stuff…

I love the small selection of Edward Bess products I have. Those lipsticks look dreamy. I just really don’t like lipstick in palette form; I wish it were a set of actual (mini) lippies instead.

I agree. I would be all over Tender Love and Jasmine Blossom if they were sold individually.

I LOL’d at your imaginary conversation with Edward. You are hilarious!

These are some great shades, they look perfect for mixing too.

I’m with you in admiring Mr. Bess’s hair. Those look like good lip colors too. I’d probably go for midnight bloom and tender love as singles.

I don’t really know a lot about his makeup, but this seems really interesting. Those colors are so pretty.

I have three Edward Bess ultra slick lipsticks and I really like them. My favorite is Night Romance, an uber professional lip color that is my HG for those boardroom types of meeting. And I do agree, the formula is lush and hydrating, it hugs your lips starting the first moment it touches you lips. This is palette is pretty expensive, but I think the next time Luxola has a 30% off event, I will snap this up.

These shades are beautiful. I have that huge Bobbi Brown lip palette that I really need to dig out because it’s so amazing.

I love lipstick palettes (well, any kind of palette) but I never really use them. This one looks like it has a great range of colors. I’ll have to at least get the Pumpkin Spice Latte (hehe). Have a good weekend Karen!

Deep Lust and some others look much lighter on the lips than they do in the palette. I like Tender Love. (Who doesn’t?)

Your posts get funnier by the week, I just love him. I would be all over this palette if it wasn’t almost 100 bucks (I obviously round up), I just can’t validate that. I so wish I could though…

Ok. So I read over the comments to see if I was the first person to think this, but maybe others thought about it and remained silent… Edward Bess TOTALLY looks like the human version of The Beast from Disney’s animated Beauty & The Beast! You know, the Prince once he gets changed back from true love’s kiss! From the fair skin to the flowing locks to the piercing gaze- tell me that’s not a dead ringer. And back on topic- I would looooove to try some of his lip products, the palette looks fabulous!

OMG Rachel P, I totally thought that too! Haha. And I’m shocked to find that the Beast seems like he’d be such a gorgeous specimen of man… Also, Karen– after seeing this post I totally bought this lip palette and cannot wait for it to arrive at my door!
