7 Ways to Win a $50 eGift Card From Sephora! (Ends Monday)

November 23rd, 2013 by Karen 462 Comments

A Makeup and Beauty Blog giveaway

WOW! OK…I don’t want to bore you if you aren’t a Hunger Games fan, but Catching Fire was SO GOOD.

No spoilers, I promise.

I only wish I’d reread the book before seeing the movie last night because — I don’t know — the book was also SO GOOD. 🙂

How’s it going today, babe? I hope you have a great weekend lined up. I’m fueling up on coffee right now to help me through a run, and after that, who knows? Maybe a quick trip to the mall.

I do have to do some grocery shopping and laundry today, but those are my only chores…

Good luck in this weekend’s giveaway. I’ll talk to you soon.

Win a $50 gift card from Sephora

  • One (1) Sephora eGift card containing $50 sent to the winner by email (international readers, you may opt to receive $50 sent by PayPal instead).

  • Enter using the Rafflecopter widget below.
  • Open to U.S. and international readers.
  • You must be 18 or older to enter (or otherwise an adult based on your local laws).
  • Your comment can be about anything at all, but here are some ideas if you’re stuck:
    • Have you ever played in the snow?
    • What’s your favorite Thanksgiving side (mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.)?
    • Do you ever pluck, wax or shave your toes (yes, your toes)?
    • Who makes the best eyeshadow formula (but maybe not necessarily the best colors)?
    • Are you right-handed, left-handed or ambidextrous?
    • Do you ever apply your eye makeup without a mirror?
  • You can enter in up to seven ways to boost your chances of winning.
  • The giveaway ends on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).
  • Full terms and conditions are available in the widget.

If one has hair on one’s toes one needs to remove it before wearing sandals or any open-toed shoe. It’s somewhat shocking to me that some women don’t!

I’m a NorCal girl with Oregon roots, so lots of snow for me 🙂 But I also would ike to mention that makeup without a mirror, although precarious, isn’t so bad. I’ve done my face routine so many times it’s automatic and–if I’m really in a rush–quickly curling my lashes and donning on mascara doesn’t require a mirror.

I loved Catching Fire as well! The book to movie adaptation was done so, so well. I’m glad the same director will stay for Mockingjay pts 1 and 2. Did you have a favorite scene or costume from the movie? I really liked the arena wetsuits this time around, but some of the gowns were lovely too.

I can’t think of a time I ever tried to apply my eye makeup without a mirror! It’s hard enough for me not to stab myself in the eye when channeling my inner jedi and doing my darndest to concentrate. I also get awkwardly close to my mirror like I’m closing in on a good-night kiss, because I’m pretty blind without my specs.

I recently read your post on the Essence gel liner, by the way, and snapped it up this morning. It’s a pretty dreamy steal! Thanks for the awesome heads-up!

I grew up in the snow ~ living in Green Bay, Wisconsin and throughout Michigan! As much as I loved it as a child, I couldn’t wait to move away to someplace warmer when I became an adult. I got as far as Indianapolis (lol), which still gets snow, but not nearly as much as being right on the Great Lakes in the winter… I love the heavy snow that coats all the trees and makes everything look like a beautiful postcard. Unfortunately, most of the time it looks nothing like that when it snows!

Yepp, I’ve played in the snow! But sadly not often. It’s usually a rainy or icy winter, not often to have snow here.

My favorite Thanksgiving side is yams with marshmallows. Yum!

hahaha This post has made me feel soo less weird! I do shave my toesies. Legs, arms, under arms, toes, fingers…if there’s hair, I’m shaving it. I hate looking at it! It makes me feel so unwomanly. And when I take photos of my nail art or swatches, I don’t want to be distracted by all the furriness (that I know I’m probably the only one who would notice but…I’m the one who matters, right? haha) Same with photographing shoes etc. But yeah, I definitely get rid of it.

I love smooth creamy eyeshadow formulas. But also pigmentation and blendability.

I’m right-handed. Really wish I was ambidextrous! Would be such a life saver. haha

I’ve never applied makeup without a mirror. I think I’d be too paranoid. Maybe I would do it for a silly video to see how well I do. haha But not for going out or anything.

OMG…I do shave my toes from time to time. I usually do it more in the summer, because of wearing flip flops all the time. My big toe has a few stray hairs…it’s really hilarious!! One time, way back when, when I was only about 24, I was getting a pedicure, and the technician said to me, do you shave your toes? It was so embarrassing…I think she felt the stubble. LOL

Have you ever played in the snow? Of course! My sister and I used to build igloos and snow sculptures besides your typical snowman 🙂

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving side (mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.)? OMG!!! Don’t make me choose! I’d say its a toss-up between cranberry sauce and candied yams…crap now I’m hungry….and on call at work for thanksgiving 🙁

Btw…I agree Catching Fire was a great movie. I think it was more true to the books than the first movie. Ughh I want them to hurry up and film mockingjay b/c this whole wait a year thing is killing me! I’m so excited for that one but I have a bad feeling it may get split into 2 movies to try and minimize how much they cut out this time thus extending my annual torture…le sigh. Can we just fast forward to the next release date?

I’m going to finally see my boyfriend after 5 months. He lives in Spain and I in Puerto Rico (we met when I studied abroad). I still wonder how is it possible that I am so in love with a person that I have spend less then half of our relationship (1 year and 9 months) physically together. Let me tell you half of the time it is almost impossible, but that little thread of hope is good enough for me. I am so excited and have been rounding up everything I want to take there (he needs to see me in the best light possible). Love looking at your blog because it helps me with amazing products that I can take (I blame you for those $65 on the Nars blush palette, totally worth it).

Yes, I have played with snow. Forget about sides, main, desserts, whatever… thanksgiving is not complete without sweet potato with marshmallows. Guilty as charged, plucked, waxed and shaved my toes (yes, my toes). Best eyeshadow formula: it used to be UD but after the Lorac Pro palette, Lord Jesus I have converted!!! Right handed. I tried it (makeup without mirror), and looked like a mess!
