Custom Couture for My New Bottle of MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

There is a method to the madness…

Why, yes, there is a reason why this bottle of MAC Pro Longwear Concealer looks like it’s wearing a straightjacket.

Earlier this week I accidentally dropped my previously brand-spakin’-new bottle of Pro Longwear on the floor and it, along with my heart, broke into a million little pieces.

I picked up a new one yesterday to replace it, but I figured that I should do something extra to protect it because, seriously, if I break another bottle (which is entirely possible), I will LOSE MY SH*T.

So I wrapped the new bottle with rubber bands to cushion any falls. 🙂

I feel so very MacGyver right now!

Uh…does anyone else remember MacGyver?

ha ha… good one! I sometimes just put them into my own pumps from work. I work in the packaging industry so I have a million bottles to chose from, also If I break a shadow I have a ton of jars.

This is a great idea! Plus it has the added advantage thet it provides grip when you pick it up, so falls are less likely to happen anyway!

Also, MacGyver = my ultimate crush since I was like 6 years old. 😀

Every time my pro long wear concealer falls out from behind my medicine cabinet (where I keep my “erryday” makeup) and tumbles into my porcelain sink I scream “Nooooo!” because I fear it will shatter the way so many blush and eyeshadow pans before it have!

I hate to admit that I do know MacGyver lol This is a very funny post, but the concealer-in-a-straight-jacket does make sense. We can all get clumsy sometimes, and this is the perfect solution!

Hah, this is genius 😀 I actually deliberately broke mine, to get out the last of the product. After I broke the bottle I still got out enough product to continue to use it for like two weeks!

That is brilliant! When I was on vacation once, I knocked my brand new bottle of foundation off the sink, onto a ceramic tile floor. It shattered, of course, and it was such a mess to clean up! After that, I’ve been hesitant to buy makeup products that are housed in glass containers LOL. I’m too clumsy!

Last winter I broke my hourglass mineral veil primer and that broke my heart to pieces. 🙁 It was the most expensive makeup item I’ve gotten myself and I was so stingy with it that when it broke I hadn’t even used half.

It’s like before Bare Minerals came out with the sifter tops for their eye shadows. I’ve dropped an entire eye shadow on my bedspread and screamed like someone killed me. It was horrible.

As for Angus MacGyver…I still love him…mullet and all!!

What i do – get those little jars from MAC when they give you samples – pump some in and put the bottle in a safe place – when the jar gets all funky – toss and start with a new one – the guy at MAC said why didn’t I think of that – he said he gives samples of it all the time and just didn’t think of doing that – he said he always pumps too much out and goes thru the bottle so quick. I do like the rubber band idea – Cool.
