7 Ways to Win a $50 eGift Card From Sephora! (Ends Monday)

Win a $50 eGift card from Sephora

olde-once upon a time there was a Sephora store that happened to be built on a fissure between our world and the world of magic. For six minutes around the Witching Hour every night, magic would seep up through the crack, disabling the electronic surveillance system, and infusing all of the products in the store with magic!

One night, an employee was working late at the store to prepare for a big launch, stocking the shelves and making sure that all of the registers were set with enough shopping bags and other supplies for the following day. Because of that, when the magic time happened, the employee saw everything! The products came to life!

They panicked. They didn’t know what to do. No human had ever seen them alive before.

The products all cherished their brief time alive every night and merely sought to live normal lives. When the magic fled the store every night, it was painful for them. All they really wanted was to be able to remain alive the rest of the time.

The products were afraid the employee would ruin everything. She would tell others, and the products feared they would lose even their short time alive, so they refused to let her leave. “No, miss!” they told her. “You’re not going anywhere. You stay right there while we try to figure this out.” But what could they do? They only had six minutes each night.

Finally, after six minutes, the magic retreated, as it always did, and the products returned to their inanimate state.

The employee, thoroughly freaked out by all of this, promptly fled the store, and hasn’t been seen since.

–TRUTH–

Rise and shine, pal o’ mine! 🙂 Good morning.

It looks like it’s going to be a nice day around here. It hasn’t been too hot lately. It’s kind of mild, actually, for summer. Might be a nice day for a hike.

I hope you have something fun lined up for this weekend. Anyone heading out of town? Or doing any gardening? Any pool parties perhaps? How about a barbecue?

I don’t think I have anything going on, as far as I can remember right now. I’m not quite feeling 100% yet (I’ve had bad cramps), so I’m not anticipating anything too ambitious.

Good luck in this weekend’s giveaway. I wish I could do one of these with 1,000 winners every day.

I’ll talk to you soon (I still haven’t had my first cup of coffee, and I’m REALLY looking forward to it).

Most underrated skincare product is a toner. A good alcohol-free and fragrance-free toner can really help take off the last bit of make-up residue. The best toners also contain anti-oxidants and skin repairing ingredients so your skin stays healthy 🙂

The most underrated beauty product(s) are urea creams. They’re very good at exfolianting skin without drying it up like BHA and AHA do. They aren’t good only for feet and hands and aren’t made of urine like most people wrongly assume! Don’t get them into your eyes or on open wounds(like popped pimples or hands so cracked that they’re very red and bleeding a lil-but just very flaky and cracked hands are ok for it, they’ll improve very soon) but that goes for any exfoliant, anyway.

Hi, Karen! Hope the cramps don’t cramp your style today. (chuckles. anyone?)

I have had issues with my lips. The lip balms I have tried just don’t seem to moisturize them enough, or it may be something in the balms themselves, that just don’t jive with my skin. 🙁 I recently picked up Clinique’s Superbalm Moisturizing gloss. IT IS AWESOME! No sticky, and it actually leaves my lips feeling oh-so-soft.

I am a little weary about all of the ingredients in it. I’m sure a few drops of coconut oil would suffice, but I haven’t found anything “more natural” that has helped my lips.

Hope the weekend treats you well!

It makes a terrible noise and usually comes out of nowhere… Never fails to take me by surprise and make me jump a metre in the air.

On your raving post of love I purchased Nars radiant cream foundation last night. So far I think I love it!!!

Also, in a past post about layering bred for beauty over worldly wealth and I have to agree, it’s gorgeous!!! I didn’t pick up bred for beauty because I already have three matte hot pink blushes so I used Tarte’s amused today over WW. I love it so very much. You come up with some beautiful combos, lady.

I love, love Bliss fabulips glossy balm. It is seriously moisturizing, and the texture is lovely and not at all sticky. The flavor is citrus mint too, so you can feel a slight tingle to your lips. I can go without any lip color and just put this on and look polished. I use it every morning and every night before going to bed. I wake up with moisturized lips! I have used it twice a day for six months now and still have half of the 15 ml tube left. You should try it!

I’m currently in the middle of giving myself a mani/pedi – many moons ago I did a basic hair & beauty course, and am a qualified manicurist. As such, I find it really difficult to pay someone in a nail bar to do something I can do at home for free! It’s my frugal Scottish ancestors coming out I guess 😀

I just encountered my favorite park yesterday. My sister in law took us to McCarren park in Brooklyn. It’s been around for ages, and I’ve never been. The city recently overhauled it and it is gorgeous! You would think you were in Central Park, with how lush the grass is and how clean the park is. We took a nice stroll around after hanging out poolside. The park has a FREE POOL!
