Urban Decay’s Fast Easy Sexy Partial False Lashes Are Exactly What Their Name Implies

Wearing Urban Decay’s new Fast Easy Sexy Partial False Lashes in Instalure ($15) on the outer corners of my upper lash line

I’m keeping Urban Decay’s new Fast Easy Sexy Partial False Lashes ($15) on metaphorical makeup speed dial for the next Monday morning when I’m feeling blah and need an easy pick-me-up. These will definitely hit the spot, since they’re so quick to use and easy to apply.

Urban Decay Fast Easy Sexy Partial False Lashes

When you and/or your lashes need a lift, and you either don’t have, or don’t want to spend, the time dealing with the drama that often accompanies false lashes, partials like Fast Easy Sexy are great.

I’m a big fan. 🙂

I call them starter falsies, since the shorter band makes them much easier to manipulate and control.

Perfect for fledgling false lash aficionados, or anyone who wants an easier fancy fringe.

Urban Decay Instalush

These three new styles from Urban Decay are like lightning in a bottle. I can apply any one of them in less than a minute.

Because they’re not as wide as full-size false lashes, I don’t have to trim them at all to fit, and ’cause they already have a blackened band, I can also skip the extra step of having to darken the band with liner.

And I think they just dramatic enough to get the job done.

Instalush, my favorite one of these three, has a criss-cross design that makes my lash line look full and, well, lush. MBB RATING: A

Instaflare also has a criss-cross design, but the lashes are longer at the outer corners, where they can subtly emphasize those cat eye flicks. MBB RATING: A

Instalure’s lashes are straight and staggered, which I think looks a little weird on me, and the band is stiff and uncomfortable. This one’s not my fave. MBB RATING: C

As for the glue Urban Decay uses for these, talk about awesome adhesives. Unlike Duo glue, which smells like a fish rotting in a teenage football player’s gym locker (EWW), the glue UD uses has no scent, and the applicator tip makes it easy to apply the glue precisely along the lash band.

Seriously, Tabs has no thumbs…and I bet he could do it.

But that’s not all. Each of these sets also comes with two pairs, sweet!

You can find all three of them now for $15 a box in the Urban Decay permanent line at Ulta, select Macy’s stores and online at urbandecay.com.

Summer, summer, summertime

Have you gone anywhere yet this summer? Taken any fun trips?

El Hub and I have stayed close to home, for the most part, because Tabs has had a busy summer with lots of kitty modeling, but we’re taking a short trip to Tahoe in a couple weeks, and I’m very excited!

Last time we were there was in 2012 (I rode a jet ski for the first time). The lake water was awfully chilly, but everything was so pretty, and there were lots of fun things to do.

I think I’m going to bring my wetsuit this time so I can do more water activities like stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking around the lake.

Have you ever been to Lake Tahoe?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I went to Tahoe a few times when I lived in California. Once with my boyfriend at the time and my parents, we took a boat tour of the lake and stayed at one of the hotels with a casino in it, I think it was Harvey’s. It was actually a lot of fun! There’s lots to do there, depending on what you’re in the mood for.

Now these look like something I’d be able to handle! And they look appropriate for everyday wear, not just for a night out.

Hey Karen! I’ve actually only worn false lashes twice in my life — one at my wedding makeup trial and on my wedding day (and both were applied by the professional makeup artist)! I LOVED the effect on me but I can be a klutz and don’t really trust myself to put these on without the lashes poking me in the eye, haha. These might be the ones for me to try, finally!

I’ve only been to Tahoe a few times, but it should be gorgeous this time of year! Hope you enjoy it :).

I love wearing falsies just for fun and don’t usually have difficulty applying them. These, however, look like something I’d love to try. Kudos for natural-looking, easy-to-apply, semi-affordable lashes. If these last as long as the MAC lashes and enable me to get more than a couple times of wear, I’m all for it. Glad you did a review of these. Never would’ve known they existed otherwise. And I agree with the pair that is your favorite, I think that pair is my favorite, too!

These lashes look great, but I am more intrigued by your lipstick! Which lipstick are you wearing in these photos? It is such a lovely color on you!

I went on a two-week holiday to Crete earlier this month. Did a roundtrip of the whole island with my brother. Adventurous and fun! As for the lashes, I love the first set on you!

I love the first one on you! I haven’t worn falsies myself but love how it looks on people! I was in Spain for ten days earlier this month! The best vacation I have had in summer! 🙂

I’m a lash lover so I’m all over these! They look so cute and natural plus the glue sounds pretty nice too. I’ve never tried mini falsies like these but I hope I like them!

OOH, these are so pretty on you! I have yet to put on false lashes, but I’m pretty sure that the first time I do they will only be half sets, like these ones. I think the Instalush ones are my favourites, but Instalure is coming in a close second!

Such a good idea by UD. I have been cutting false lashes in half forever since I seem to have smaller eyes than the average bear or they make these in 1.5 the length of the average upper lashline.

I’ve never been to Tahoe but it looks beautiful. I think we’re opting for Virginia Beach/Busch Gardens/DC at the end of the summer. I’ve been assured there are no water snakes. 🙂
