Urban Decay’s Perversion False Lashes in Trap Might Lure You Into Thinking That You Could Wear Them To Buy Cat Food

If you think you’re going to wear Urban Decay’s new Perversion Lashes in Trap ($15) to Target to buy cat food without having people really, really stare at you, you are mistaken. Because these lashes look completely cra-zay-zy in real life.

I mean, they look great in pics! They’re definitely dramatic…which makes sense; that is what the new Perversion Lash line is all about.

If you’re going out clubbing or have a big night on the town or if you just landed that job as a full-time dominatrix (*cracks whip), then yeah. Awesome lashes.

But for, like, real life kind of stuff, nuh-uh. I look downright insane with these on, like I should be hanging out with Britney when she shaved her head, and attacking cars with an umbrella.

Trap is one of three new $15 Perversion Lash styles, all permanent members of the UD line.

It’s weird… Whenever I wear Trap and post pics, I usually get some nice comments, and I think it’s because of the length of the lashes, especially the bundles around the center.

I think they make my eyes look wider, like that doe-eyed thing to the Nth degree, which I like. Too bad they’re about as comfortable as a pair of six-inch pointy high heels a half size too small.

So, that band — kudos to UD for making it black, which saves me from having to paint over it, but it’s stiff and almost straight, so the inner side just keeps lifting up, no matter how much glue I use.

Oh, and the lashes are hella heavy. I like my full-length falsies to feel lighter than air (I’m an Ardell 120 Demi Natural kinda girl); otherwise, I get a headache, which is what happens when I wear Trap.

I can’t wear these for much longer than 10 minutes at a time, so I’ll probably use them mostly for high drama pics.

I love the look…but they can be a pain.

PRICE: $15
AVAILABILITY: Available now in the permanent line at Ulta and select Macy’s stores, and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: C+ (depends on what you want them for)

You really do learn something new every day

In addition to picking up a few Vitamin Waters and cat food at Target last night, I also went to Party City to get balloons for El Hub’s birthday today.

I decorated the house with them first thing this morning before he got up, and I’m also baking a cake.

Not one from scratch, mind you. It’s from a box (chocolate), because I’m seriously out of baking practice and don’t want to risk it.

Anywho, I found out at Party City that you’re not supposed to keep helium balloons in a hot car because they could pop as the gas expands.

Interesting… Why do I want to test that out? 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

The lashes do look truly gorgeous on you, but after your description of their wear, now I have this image in my head of you talking to me, and blinking (as one does), and there being this heavy ‘BAFF’ sound every time your lids come down because of the heavy lashes. 😀

    Sorry – I have a terribly overactive imagination…

Pretty in pictures 🙂 I can’t stand the visible band lashes..I like the thin almost invisible band of the ardell naturals. Good to know that I may really look like the crazy cat lady with these so I’ll be staying away for sho! I want to try Velour lashes next!

Happy Birthday, El Hub! Of course you want to test that out, Science Gal. 🙂

What a shame about those lashes because they do, seriously, look great on you. I trust you that they’re cray in real life but I’d never know from the pics. That said, no matter how nice they look, it’s not worth a headache!

God I love the look of these lashes on you! And congrats to El Hub! Also, I didn’t know about the balloons yet, thanks for the warning 🙂 Not that I plan on driving around with balloons in my car anytime soon, but you know.

Those lashes look deceptively natural on you, I would never guess they look crazy in real life! Happy Birthday to El Hub- enjoy!
