You know that movie The Time Traveler’s Wife?

I watched it again… It was on TV last night.

That movie is just so incredibly sad, isn’t it? But neat. It’s like, here’s what happens when something that could be a gift is actually a curse.

Rachel McAdams sure knows how to pick those heart-wrenching love stories…

Speaking of gifts, happy caturday! Every day we share together, my friend, is a gift, and yes, that’s corny, but I do not care. Not one bit. 🙂

How’s it going this morning? Did you do anything interesting or fun last night? El Hub and I had dinner at a Japanese place here in town that we hadn’t been to before (eh, it was OK), and then walked down the street and got ice cream at Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, and that store is always fun. I’m serious, if Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory had a satellite corporate office, it would probably look just like that store. They have every kind of candy imaginable, from chocolate-covered bacon necklaces to giant rainbow lollipops to caramel peanut clusters the size of small watermelons.

And after that we watched that movie at home. Pretty quiet evening.

Your nephew seems to be in good spirits this morning. Right after I woke up I pet him for a while, so he met his quota for lurvies, and as you know, his moods are pretty much entirely dependent on food and love. Like mommy like tabby.

Well, that’s about it for me. I’m gonna go make my first cup of coffee now and something to eat (Eggo waffles, perhaps?). Good luck in this weekend’s giveaway. Talk to you soon. 🙂

I think it would be so cool to time travel! That said, being the baby I am, I’d be way too scared that I’d get stuck in the wrong time if something were to go wrong.

I think Oribe shampoos smell amazing!! Also, years ago I was in Central America for a couple months and they sold a Wella shampoo and conditioner that no joke had the best scent ever. I’ve never found it here. It came in a white and turquoise-ish bottle. I brought 10 back (I had to give up 2 to my BFF.) She and I got so many compliments because it was just strong enough to catch it if you were standing fairly close. I dream of going back and getting that shampoo again.

I don’t know if I would like the ability of time travel if I had no control of what would happen. It would take you, or perhaps it could take you, to an extremely dangerous time in history. But then again, how flipping cool should it be to able to go back in time!!!!!! It would totally be like Doctor Who, and you could bring along whomever is with you at the time, and you could save the world, and have a cool looking tardis with a makeup room and stuff… so yeah. I would like the ability to time travel even if I had no control, because you do only live once. But what if you went back in time or forward in time and you found an immortality elixir!!! Then you could live for-like-ever. Long nights and studying does this to my brain…

Speaking of smells, in a prior post you asked if I wear Philosophy Grace since I mentioned getting products in my name is a MUST HAVE. Actually I don’t wear it BUT I do have a bottle so yeah you were on the mark nevertheless… I can’t wear perfume ’cause it flares up my allergies and I sneeze everywhere.. not so attractive when perfume is supposed to be attracting lol ANDD on a different note, I’ve never rode a scooter BUT if I had the chance to time travel, I’d go back to when I visited Cuba and they were offering scooters since that’s how the locals travel. If I had the ability to time travel, I definitely wouldn’t try to change anything (that never goes well), but I’d do a TON of era-sightseeing. Athens during the Golden Age. The Malian Empire at its height. Medieval Japan. London under the reign of Queen Elizabeth. Florence in the Renaissance. I would go everywhere and be very quiet and unobtrusive and just observe. That would be amazing.

Hi Karen. Sounds like a nice evening:) We’ve mostly stayed in this weekend because our dog hasn’t been feeling well. He’s 14 years old. We love him to pieces, so it’s been difficult to see him age. On a more happy note….I got the new Makeup Forever Artist Palette and I’ve been liking it so far-really pigmented and smooth.

When you say scooter, do you mean the ones kids ride (like a Razor scooter) or the kind with an engine that you need a license to drive (like a Vespa)? If the former, I’ve never ridden one. If the latter, I commuted on a Vespa for about 9 years – up until I replaced it with a Honda Rebel motorcycle. 🙂

That said, when it comes to earrings my motto is go big or go home.

The place I went to has “glow in the dark” paddles, where they put LED lights on the boards so you can see into the water in the dark. It was so cool!
