The Spice Must Flow…Through Covergirl Clean Glow Bronzer in Spices

Spices: for adding flava to your look.

OK, that was corny…

Like spicy corn salsa. 🙂

Covergirl’s Clean Glow Bronzer in Spices ($7.89) is a matte powder bronzer with a bit o’ kick to it. It may not pack enough heat for darker skin tones, but it’s got a little somethin’-somethin’.

Use the peachy brown, tan and dark taupe-brown separately, or mix them together to contour and warm up the skin.

I actually don’t use this as a bronzer, but rather as an improv matte eyeshadow palette.

Yup, that’s right. I think the medium and dark shades make fantastic crease colors, and the lightest shade does a bang-up job as a brow bone highlighter.

Gotta love those multi-taskers (especially when they cost less than $8).

If you’re interested in spicing up your life with Spices, you can find it now at drugstores, supermarkets and online.

This makes me want to make delicious berry and cinnammon cookies…

(actually, most things make me want to make cookies. I really like cookies)

The darkest shade would be too dark for this vampire (unless it might work as eyeshadow/brow powder?) but it’s a really pretty compact, nonetheless!

      Hi Sylirael,

The great thing about this palette is you can mix and match the shades to build them up or sheer them out. If you mixed the darker color with any of the other ones you could get a wearable shade!

🙂 Darbie, I love that you *get* it.

BTW, I just started watching an interesting (and kind of frightening) sci-fi movie last night called The Machine. Have you heard of it?

This is actually very pretty! I never paid much attention to CoverGirl blushes but I really like how the swatches look. And you’re right I can totally see the darker shade work nicely as an eyeshadow.
    Are there more color combos?

As far as I know there aren’t for the bronzers. I think there are more for the blushes!

Definitely looks like a bargain! And I’ve been thinking about the “spice” lately since I’ve been watching a young Kyle McLaughlin daily for my Twin Peaks binge. 🙂

What season are you on? Are you enjoying it so far? I watched it when it first came out and remember liking it back in the day!

Hello! I just finished it this weekend. I wasn’t at all prepared because I didn’t check how many episodes were in the 2nd season (so I didn’t realize I was watching the series finale). I liked it, after I got over the initial shock that that was the end. Such a dodo, sometimes. 🙂

I was scrolling through Netflix last weekend and thought of you when I saw the Twin Peaks thumbnail. Dude, if it was the ’90s, I would’ve let you borrow my Twin Peaks soundtrack… WHICH I HAD ON TAPE. LOL!

This actually looks like a blush to me lol. It just might work as a blush on darker skin tones

I think this would be great on fair/cool toned skin. For my medium warm complexion, the shades look a little ‘rosy’ to qualify as bronzer.

The bronzer looks prettyy in pakcaging.. I love multi tasking products too.. The shades are a lighter to work for my skin tone but I am liking their formula so sating smooth.. <3
