A Friday Face of the Day With the New NARS Laser Cut Holiday Palette: Hazy Khaki Eyes, and Rosy Cheeks and Lips

October 17th, 2014 by Karen 20 Comments

NARS Laser Cut Eye, Cheek and Lip Palette (3)

Now we shall dance like children of the night!

Or not. 🙂

We can dance around my kitchen though, but only if it’s low impact because I’m still resting up for the race.

What are you doing tonight? I have a feeling El Hub is going to coerce me into watching Fury, that new WWII tank movie with Brad Pitt and the guy who played Shane in The Walking Dead.

Sounds like a hoot!

Oh, well. I’ll get him back in November when the new Hunger Games comes out.

I’m just gonna wear the smokey-light khaki eye look I wore today with the new $59 limited edition NARS Laser Cut holiday palette (available now).

NARS Laser Cut Eye, Cheek and Lip Palette (2)

Not that I’m gonna do it, because I feel lazy, but it would be really easy to turn this into an evening/party look by just swapping out the rosy gloss for a more dramatic lip color, like this glossy plum number perhaps…

I love this look, very soft and feminine! I had no big plans tonight, just got home from work but, I did discover a new snack: Garlic cloves and spicy peppers from the olive bar at our supermarket. Its way better than it sounds and not really garlicky at all! 🙂

Thank you, Kristin! I hope you had a nice workout. What did you do? Cardio? Weights? Or did you take a class? That snack sounds yummy. I love garlic — especially when it’s roasted.

Ah! I am not doing anything. The man is gone to the Philippines for 14 months. But I am going on a trip with my family.
So, after a stroll in the mall, I would start packing.

Thanks, Karen. I’ve just changed my blog layout, so I will be spending tonight and tomorrow putting the finishing touches to it and working out all the kinks. Not much fun but it was long overdue.

        Have a wonderful weekend, too!

Thanks, babe! Are you playing with any makeup this weekend? I just started experimenting with a new highlighter from Guerlain which I’m pretty stoked about. It has a really beautiful candlelit gold glow!

Yes! I’m doing more testing today, along with a new palette and some lipsticks. I just picked up my freshly washed brushes and now it’s time to play. We’ll see where it ends up (hopefully someplace good).

I’ve discovered that I’m a highlighter-every-day kind of person. Are you?

Love the eye look, guilty of wearing smokey eyes everyday . Khaki eyeshadow is one of my faves. And the burgundy lip is so cool!

This look is beyond beautiful. I could see it working very well for an elegant date night or special event.
There was once a time I thought Nars could only do Lip products’ true justice and that their palettes were a little ‘neh’ compared to Urban Decay and Mac, but holy paradise, Nars is totes on the palette bandwagon now!

Hello all the way from the Philippines Karen 🙂

I just want you to know how much I appreciate all the reviews you’ve been doing. I’ve only been subscribing for the past couple of months but I’ve caught myself checking your reviews first before I head straight to the shops and panic buy. You’ve no idea how much you’ve been helping me not hoard make-up products. That said, I wish you all the best!
