Sometimes, Colors Are More Vivid After Dark, Like When They’re Part of the New $20 Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics After Dark Stained Gloss Test Tube x 4 Set

A lot can happen after dark…

Vampires can rise, cats can prowl and raccoons can subvert!

Sometimes, vivid, colorful stained glosses can thrill…

That’s right. Vivid, colorful stained glosses After Dark, which is the name of OCC’s new holiday set.

Strange name for such bright colors? Perhaps. But don’t let it stop you from rocking these glossy finishes during daylight hours, or for gifting the set to your favorite makeup-lovin’ vampire.

Yes, vampires, because with two moody, vampiric shades in the set (the sheer glossy black and the reddish orange), you know I had to go there. It was low-hanging fruit.

Speaking of fruit, the four-piece set would probably be perfect for “vegetarian” vampires like the Cullen clan, since Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a cruelty-free, vegan line…

OK, sorry, that was the last vampire reference for today, I swear. 🙂

The set comes with four 0.08-oz. test tubes of OCC Stained Gloss, a clear pouch and a little lip brush. Each of the glosses starts out with a glossy finish, which then fades to a velvety matte stain over the course of two to three hours.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. I hope you’re having a great night, my friend. El Hub and I are on our way to a movie. We’re gonna see that Birdman flick starring Michael Keaton. (Beetljuice, Beetlejuice… No way I’m saying that thrice.) I’m hoping it’s good because it’s getting good reviews.

We shall see… Kaw, kaw! 🙂

Birdman is AWESOME! I won tickets to an advance screening and loved every minute of it.

Oh Jealous is one amazing shade on you, Karen! I still haven’t tried any of their lippies because I know I wouldn’t use them often (I find application potentially tricky. Like do I have to carry a lip brush for touch-ups?), but 20 bucks for this set is pretty tempting 🙂

I love that these are vegan products. Would you say these products would dry your lips out after multiple uses, though? I always find it disappointing to get a lip product that gives great color and has a nice finish but dries your lips out!

Wow, I was totally surprised that Little Black Dress actually looked good. I thought it would be terrible. Does the mint flavor bother you at all?

Little Black Dress is definitely an interesting shade! I like the idea of layering it on top of other lipsticks (especially reds) to make them deeper and more sultry!

I saw this and passed because I imagine theyd be all matte and opaque.like the typical lip tars. These are purdy ! I skipped MAINLY because of that black one but now I see its not even black ha!

I love these colors and I like that not all of them are super bright. I like bright colors I just can never seem to pull them off!

I tried the lip tars once before and wasn’t really impressed. Besides that, all the tubes I got were only 1/2 full so I returned it.

I have to say that is the nicest looking black gloss I’ve seen. It’s really very pretty on you. I still have a few hours of 20% so I may go for it.
