Get Flawless Skin From a Weightless Formula With New Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

So, one day last weekend when I wore Urban Decay’s new Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28, coming this spring to the permanent line), I got into a big tiff with my parents, and there was lots of crying involved.

(Long story, but it was a misunderstanding, and everything’s fine now.)

When El Hub and I got home later that night, I went to wash my face and saw that the concealer I’d been wearing was still intact…10 hours later!

Granted, it didn’t look perfect, especially around my fine lines, but considering the buckets I’d cried a few hours earlier, it looked pretty good.

The before shot: yeah, I know, I look tired…

And after Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer…

And after: wearing Medium Dark Warm underneath my eyes

And for comparison, here’s my current concealer combo crush: NARS Pure Radiant with YSL Touche Éclat and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder…

With my current concealer combo: NARS Pure Radiant, YSL Touche Eclat and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder (it takes a village)

With concealers, I usually aim for something full coverage with a lightweight feel and a natural texture, and that’s exactly what I get from a few tiny drops of this creamy concealer.

I use just 3-4 small dots under each eye, then buff that out with a tapered blending brush. That completely covers the purple areas around my inner corners, sans the heavy texture that often accompanies full-coverage concealers, while keeping my skin looking like skin.

Yeah, I’m really digging this stuff! It produces similar results to my current favorite concealer, which is actually a combo of NARS Pure Radiant Concealer mixed with YSL Touche Éclat, all topped with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

  • Bound for the permanent line, and arriving with the new Urban Decay Spring 2015 Collection in eight $28 shades (0.16-oz. tubes) — Fair Neutral, Light Warm, Light Neutral, Medium Light Neutral, Medium Neutral, Medium Dark Warm, Medium Dark Neutral and Dark Neutral.
  • The creamy, full-coverage formula has a satin finish that isn’t too shiny, and I think it looks beautiful in pics.
  • The flocked applicator feels so soft and comfy…
  • On my combination dry/oily skin, I notice that these tend to oxidize and darken a bit after a few minutes, so you may want to use a slightly lighter shade than you otherwise would (especially if other makeup tends to oxidize on you).

PRICE: $28 for a 0.16-oz. tube
AVAILABILITY: Coming to the Urban Decay permanent line this spring
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+/A- (sure wish they didn’t darken on my skin)

My mom needs a new concealer. Glad you did a review! I kinda like the look of these too! I sent her over to the blog to take a peak! (I told her it’s the best and forgot to mention Tabs, I know she will love him!)

I can’t wait for these to launch!

      Hi Elena,

You are so sweet! This is kind of a coincidence, because this seems to happen often — daughters sending their moms over. I love it!

Now, these look really promising. I must say, you are blessed with flawless skin and nearly zero dark circles.

The concealer worked fabulously and the results are stunning.. Now one doesn’t need 2-3 concealers for that beautiful finish.. You look gorgeous Karen even without any makeup!!

They covered the under eyes beautifully.. I want them in my stash! 🙂

Another review I read said it was not a good formula for undereyes, but I’m glad to see it worked for you!

      Hey Breyerchic04,

I guess it really depends on your skin type. I’m pretty dry underneath my eyes and these totally worked. I also have to say that it depends on how much you’re using… I find that for me the best thing to do is to use very little product.

These look like they are right up my street. You can never have to much concealer.

Glad to hear everything turned out fine. Fighting with family is the worst!

That is quite the unfortunate but hard test you put it through!

It sounds like it would be similar in texture and performance to my double wear. Will have to check it out!

I swear I thought the first picture was the one with concealer (before I read the caption and scrolled further). You have great skin!

They’ll probably go darker on me, good to know! I might pick one up!

I’m sorry about the tiff but glad to hear everything worked out OK. 🙂 Sometimes that’s the downside of holidays with the whole family. Your wallet will be happy to hear that I think you look great in the first pic. You could totally go concealer free!

PS It’s a balmy -12 F here today. Thankfully there is no wind. Don’t you feel toasty, just thinking of it? HAHA!

Sorry about the fight with your parents, but I am glad it’s all resolved now.

I love concealers, I will probably give this one a try!

The Medium Light Neutral looks like a good color, not too yellow (and hopefully not actually pink), so I think I may try this. I love the results I get with IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye, but it is a bit thick and sticky to work with. It would be nice to have another option, and all the NARS colors are too yellow for me. And BTW, I agree that you look great before you even apply the concealer!

I need a longer lasting concealer, I’ll put this on my list of concealers to check out.

      Hi Ame,

They’re very similar in terms of coverage. UD’s texture’s slightly thinner, though, and seems to lean less yellow compared to NARS.

I accidentally tossed the box so unfortunately I can’t list the ingredients. 🙁 I’m so sorry! I’ll try to remember to take a pic next time.

I like the look of these guys. I’d need to swatch to see if the lightest color would work. That would suck if it did as I just bought tubes of NARS in the late fall. I don’t go through concealer too often as I only wear it when I’m trying to impress people. Even date night unless it’s fancy only warrants a slathering of NARS TM, a wash of blush and eyeshadow, mascara and a lip but we only over go to cheap hole in wall Korean BBQ and Thai food lol.

I’ve been toying with changing my foundation for a while and have been considering Naked Skin foundation…the fact that they’ve also released a concealer pretty much tips the scale and makes me want to go pick up both right now! It looks great.

This looks amazing on you! Medium Dark looks a little light for me but if it oxidizes it just may work. I’ll have to check this out when it hit stores

I have a Filipina mom so I know your pain!!!! lol! Nobody can make us more upset than family! They know the right buttons to push! With that said, I am actually looking forward to trying a lot of Urban Decay skin products — and I can’t believe that I am actually into trying different concealers and foundations — WHO AM I??!! I am using Nars creamy concealer in Ginger – which one do you use? Trying to figure out if I am Medium Dark Warm or Medium Neutral! <3 Hope all is well Ate!

Karen, I need your help! I wear MAC Pro Longwear in NW30. Does it match with Medium Dark Warm? Or il go with Medium Neutral? Thank you in advance!
