The funniest person I know is my girlfriend Debbie. She is so unpretentious, and makes us laugh at how silly and pompous some people are.

I have a couple of MAC brushes in my basket. Sadly yes, I have gotten a speeding ticket. I also got a ticket for running stoplight, which was total crap. I DID stop, but apparently not long enough. It was a Sunday morning, there was absolutely NO traffic. I stopped and then made my right hand turn. Next thing I know a CHP officer was following me into the gym parking lot. That was a $500 ticket. Ha, that would be my rant! I just bought a tube of Smashbox under eye primer. I have been looking at it but never pulled the trigger, then I read your review and I knew I needed it.
I cannot give up chocolate. Ever. Why would anyone want to? That’s just inhumane.
Just returned from a day of shopping, well sort of lol. Target and Macy’s are trouble when it’s within walking from one another.

I saw a purple brush, they have different ones, Purple and Magenta 🙂 but I dont need it but it is stilll so pretty, But I dont need it even it is so pretty :).
I don’t listen to audiobooks regularly but I tried out the free trial at audible and managed to get through The Personal MBA. I ended up liking it, but I found myself spacing out at times. I like to stay present while reading so I think I’ll stick to paper/e-ink for now.
My hubby is the funniest person I know. Regardless of my mood he can make me laugh with just a funny facial expression.

I am waiting for a Kat Von D liquid lipstick called Vampira to be restocked at Sephora. We can’t buy Kat Von D makeup here in Ireland- and I’ll have to use a virtual U.K address with a parcel service to get the lipstick delivered, because Sephora don’t deliver to Ireland. Sort of a rant, but it’s what I would use the gift ecard for, if I won.

I really want to try the brand new ELF studio ultimate blending brush! It’s a rounded foundation buffing brush and it’s only $6. It’s the first rounded buffer brush I’ve seen at a drugstore price and I love elf brushes, so I’m eager to try it!

I have to make a comment about chocolate because it’s my saving grace. I gave up dairy, refined sugar and gluten (the last by order of the doc–I have Celiac). I’m also trying to drop a few pounds. I have a serious sweet tooth, though, and feel the need to always cap a meal off with something sweet. Given the new restrictions…the struggle is real! I allow myself a square of high-quality, rich dark chocolate daily. It makes me feel indulgent and it’s actually good for me. The higher the percentage, the better. I stay around 85% dark. Now back to my Final paper. (I allowed myself one 5-minute break from Finals–and writing about deviant teenage sexual behavior–and spent it unwinding on your blog!)

I really want to try the It Cosmetics brushes. I keep hearing good things about It Cosmetics, especially their brushes. So far I only have their universal brow pencil in universal taupe. I haven’t tried it yet but the color looks right for me. Their brushes are a bit more costly than I usually buy but I think I’m going to take the plunge.

OK, so, I check the feeds in my Cosmetics blog folder of my Feedly reader almost every day (cough). Sometimes when I Google for swatches or reviews of specific products, a page of your blog will come up on the first page of results, and I’m thinking, oh, reviews on MABB’s site are so fun to read and amazing, why don’t I seem to encounter them in my reader more often? Well, I checked today, and it turns out, I was subscribed to your blog in my reader like I thought. However, that feed showed no new items stretching back for a long time….I searched in Feedly for the name of your blog, and that pulled up one, with the same title, to which I was able to subscribe, with all your post showing.
I went ahead and removed the previous, wonky feed. Now I realize I really should have first tried to find and check the URL I used for that feed to report it to you. Probably whenever I added that one, two years ago or whatever (I’m sure I was subscribed to your blog (or at least the semblance of such) since the days of Google Reader), I probably just figured out what the RSS or whatever URL would be for your blog and added it manually. So, it seems like if readers add your blog by an official means–clicking on the feed icon on your blog or searching in Feedly or another reader for the title of your blog–there shouldn’t be an issue.
Sorry if this is confusing to read. In short, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy to now again be able to conveniently keep up with your blog each day and had to relate this. And enter the giveaway. Thank you; take care ^ ^ ^ ^

I’ve been driving for over 40 years and have never gotten a speeding ticket. I’ve only gotten 3 parking tickets.
I want the Make Up For Ever #160 blush brush — I love those kinds of teardrop shapes for contouring, and love the Make Up For Ever brushes. Chocolate all the way! I got a speeding ticket about 35 years ago when my spedometer broke 🙁 I love to listen to audiobooks while I knit, because that way I combine two of my favorite things! If only I could cook up a new recipe, apply makeup, go hiking, listen to music, play with my dwarf hamster, and talk with my son while listening and knitting, then I could do seven of my favorite things to do at once, lol! I guess I’m pretty lucky since I get to do a lot of my favorite things every day. I’ve been cultivating the art of contentment, I guess I’ve made some progress!

The only audiobook I’ve ever listened to was World War Z years ago. A friend who knew I liked the book insisted I listen to it, as the audiobook had an actual cast and was an experience all itself. He was right! I worked through it during my commute. My new car has an ipod/iphone connector and I sometimes plug in my phone to listen to music; I’ve been thinking of buying some audiobooks to load onto my phone for my commute.

A few years ago, I donated a sample of my cells to the bone marrow registry. It was just a swab from the inside of my cheek. I hadn’t heard from them in nearly 8 years except to check that my phone number hadn’t changed. On Thursday, I got a call that I’m a probable match. They asked for permission for the doctor to do further testing on my sample. OMFG! I’m still riding a crazy high of emotions. That’s my comment for this weekend. lol.

I am going to address two questions with one answer – chocolate of course! In saying chocolate, I must be very clear in saying that I am not including the Imposter – ‘white’ chocolate. Anyone that includes ‘white’ chocolate in the chocolate family needs to shake their head, read the ingredients, then shake their head again. Most ‘white’ chocolate these days is just candy. Rarely, if ever, can you find cacao in the recipes for this bastard relative of the beautiful milk and dark chocolate family.

I’ve been debating about the Sephora Collection Powder Brush #61.It is soo soft and dense,but the $57 CAD pricetag is a bit painful.

My last rant was about how lame it is that Huey Lewis sued the guy who did the Ghostbusters theme song. Maybe the Ghostbusters song ripped off his song, but it’s a way better song than his original song, and he seems to like to sue people a lot, so Boo.

Audiobooks are my EVERYTHING. I listen to them while drawing, knitting, crafting in general, all blog stuff except for writing, and when I was training for my marathon I would listen to audiobooks; I had never done that before with running, but I found with the long runs that audiobooks for the haul and then music in the last mile (or 5 miles, in the case of the 20 mile runs) was just the right balance to keep everything energized and prevent ennui. 🙂

I JUST turned 60 and am more inspired than ever to be the best old lady I can be! 🙂 I think I’ve finally decided there are no creams that can ever really wipe away my facial lines and creases, so I’m going to embrace each one instead and move into a new kind of beauty that truly shines from the inside out! (But I’ll still never give up my lipstick.) 😀

I just brought some awesome brushes from Icing’s expert line (bamboo). OMG. It is amazing! It is as good as my Laura Mercier Brushes! Though it’s only $10 each! Though I’m still keeping my eyes out for the fan brush.
I loveeee chocolates! Until recently I thought I hated Dark chocolates but I tried the Lindt dark chocolates recently and just loved them! Now I am totally on the dark choc bandwagon! Apparently they are good for the body too! Have u tried chocolates truffles with coffee cream in them? Heavenly!!!!

I should replace my EcoTools retractable Kabuki brush. It finally came apart after years of use, but I still love it.
Last time I ranted at Starbucks! It was a brand new Starbucks at a university so all the workers were kind of noobs and forgot both of my orders, and the caramel machiatto I ordered TOW’ UP my stomach. I felt like I got poisoned for two days and I couldn’t eat ’cause my stomach lining felt all acidic and crampy. I complained (I’ve never complained before) and got a free voucher for a drink. THEN I went to another Starbucks at the same uni and they were trying to say they wouldn’t accept my voucher! Oh hell no grrrl.. But of course I snapped at them, got my drink and got a venti frap with all the fixins. lol
The funniest person I know is not really a real person it’s my dog (Shihtzu) Diamond.she is hilarious she always knows when to do something silly to get to put a smile on my face When I’m having a bad day,must looking at her face brightens my day.

I have been craving a kabuki brush for buffing on powder. I’m partial to EcoTools; I have a tapered blush brush which I found on clearance for less than $2 (!) and it’s entirely possible that before I used it, I kept petting it…it’s so soft! Even after washing it before using it & using it daily & cleaning it, it’s still super-soft.

Hi, Karen! Do you have a favorite MAC mineralize rich lipstick? I just received Style Surge and I am in love with it (it’s my first lippy from MAC’s mineralize line… I know, I’m slow). I think it’ll be lovely with the spring’s natural and water color tones I’ve been seeing from the likes of NARS and Laura Mercier. On a completely different note: Have you tried any of Charlotte Tilbury’s swish and pop blushes? I adore them and I think a few of her shades would look great on you! So I stopped eating chocolate after I found out that I was pregnant. Our little baby is months old already, but I still haven’t picked up a chocolate bar because I’m trying to shed the last ten lbs. IT’S TORTURE! Thank goodness I didn’t give up cake!

I’m obsessed with audiobooks at the moment! I try to cut out technology in the evenings to relax so I put the laptop away, light some candles and listen to audiobooks. I find that it has helped me to sleep a lot better, and since I borrow them from the library it’s free! 😀

The last time I had a good rant was the other day at work. I had came extra early to work, because I knew my boss would be bringing in donuts and I was broke and hungry. Im always broke and hungry, but that particular morning, I was damn near starving. I didn’t eat anything before leaving out to work, assuming I would get my morning donut fix. But low and behold, one of my talkative co-workers had caught me in the hallway next to the break room. As I was forced to stand there and listen to my co-worker talk his relationship issues, on top of having death-breath, I had watched as my boss walked into the breakroom with the donuts and as my other coworkers walked in and out of that breakroom, entering without a donut and exiting with one. Well as you can guess, I didn’t get a donut and spent that whole day talking to my best friend about how I didn’t get a damn donut.
Unfortunately, I have gotten a speeding ticket 🙁

This week sucked! I’ve been sick since Sunday, so I missed my classes on Monday, but was going to go to teach on Tuesday. I made it halfway to the building, and I slipped on ice. I twisted my knee, had to call in to get emergency subs for my classes, then was laid up on a friend’s couch for the rest of the week. I’m finally starting to feel better with my cold, and my knee is definitely improving, but I looked at the calendar and my period should start this week. Ack! I’m so ready for spring, spring break, and spring cleaning!

Yes! I was on my way back to my college dorm in the mid 90s after needing to take a semester off because I had mono. I still felt sick and was exhausted. My thoughts were to hurry up back to school (speed) so I can get to my bed faster. No so smart.
My favorite lipstick right now is NARS Audacious in Ingrid. I mostly bought it because I had a daughter 6 months ago and named her Ingrid and I thought it would be cool to have something with her name on it. But it’s flat out gorgeous on!

What bothers me most about this is not the weight I may gain or me just throwing out a full year of being vegan, I’m worried about not being able to find another bag when I go to the store. This was the last one. I don’t even like candy but these are crackishly amazing. Must stop but don’t think I can!
This is the first week in forever that I’ve looked at the five day forecast and there has been NO SNOW and it makes me more happy than i could ever explain…

yes I got a speeding ticket when I was younger it was for doing 75 in a 55 mile speed limit, what can I say I was a kid and stupid. I learned my lesson and have not gotten any tickets since them
I am dying to get my hands on a nice new Kabuki brush, it’s the gap in my makeup treasure trove! And would be nicely filled by a gift card 🙂
I’m going for a precise angle liner brush.
Also a pencil brush and something like the mac 217.

The last rant I went on (I go on them often), was about racial stereotypes for Mexicans. I heard people praising an article that was “defending” Mexican immigrants but only talked about gardeners, dishwashers, and maids. It just makes me mad that people think that’s all we are. Those people do honest work, but damn, we have people who are professionals too!

I LOVE listening to audiobooks. I’m in the middle of two books now. My hubby used to make fun of me bc I would rather listen to a book than music while working out. I’ll even listen to books over again.
the funniest person i know is my youngest daughter. she is a mini-me, so our sense of humor is exactly the same, and we crack each other up on a daily basis. she is the sunshine in my every day!
I like audiobooks when I have a long drive, but otherwise they tend to split my concentration too much. I have to actually pay attention to the book, so if I’m doing something else (like working from home) the other task suffers. Also I don’t like stop and start reading, so I have to have a long stretch of time to dedicate to it.
I’d pick chocolate over gum too. 🙂 Preferably, dark chocolate with almonds (my fav is by Chocolove).
I’ve had a driver’s license for over 40 years and have never gotten a speeding ticket.

My three best friends are the funniest people I know! That’s one of many reasons they’ve made it into my inner sanctum. For me, honesty goes hand in hand with humor, and my three best buddies know just how to tell it like it is. As for chocolate vs. gum, I have to give it up for chocolate every time. I can’t say I ever crave gum the way I do cocoa products!!!

Yesterday I bought MAC Velvet Teddy and I’m actually so excited for tomorrow to come just so I can wear it!
after spending the whole weekend on DIY and landscaping projects, i have determined i need to find nice looking used clothing that i don’t mind ruining because i end up wearing pajamas and sweatshirts and ugly shoes so i don’t ruin any good clothing… the neighbours are starting to wonder… 🙂
I made baked ziti with my girlfriend for the first time and she asked me how much cheese we should use. I said “until someone says good lord that’s a lot”. Which was what I soon said after she told me she put three pounds of cheese in it. It was delicious.
Random story that amused me: I like my steak incredibly rare. Like blue rare. For those that don’t know, its rarer than rare. I ordered my steak blue and when it arrived, I cut into the delicious red meat and someone (I forgot who) said your steak is so rare its basically mooing.
Definitely chocolate! Gum is nice, chocolate is essential.
My younger brother is the funniest person I know! He kept sending me all these clips of terrible cooking show segments on Youtube the other day.

The very firs time I ever got a speeding ticket I was a mile from my house, on the road I live and grew up on! I WASS doing 60 in a 40 and the cop didn’t even cut me a break!

Audiobooks are amazing! When I was training for the Chicago Marathon two years ago I listened to “Unbroken”, even on days where I was running 15, 16, 17 miles I wanted to keep going just so I could keep listening!
Would be great to win! I would for sure go to see if Sephora is still producing their own lipstick line. I had bought it several times in the past as it had really great staying power! For me that’s the 1st thing I want in a lipstick,lots of stain so it lasts!

When I was a kid, we had a budgee named Peter. My brother Rob was in a body cast cause he kept breaking stuff so my dad put wheels on the coffee table to wheel him around. When Rob called out for mom, if she didn’t hear him, my sister or I would hollar “Robbie wants you!!” Peter quickly learned to help too and soon whenever Rob called “Mom!” the bird would automatically follow with “Robbie wants you!!”
