Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blush Harmony 001 Pink Sunrise Is Pretty Like a Postcard

$57 Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition in 001 Pink Sunrise

Have you ever seen a real life pink sunrise? Like, with your very own eyes and not in the movies or anything?

Aren’t they glorious? We get them out here sometimes in the fall, and whenever we get a really good one, where it’s like a postcard in the sky, I’m that one weirdo neighbor in her pajamas taking pictures in the front yard at the behind crack of dawn.

Like a real life pink sunrise, Dior’s Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blush Harmony in 001 Pink Sunrise is pretty glorious, too. One of two $57 Tie Dye Edition Blush Harmony powder blushes in the Dior Summer 2015 Tie Dye Collection, it’s the lighter, pinker, cooler-toned option. The other one, 002 Coral Sunset, is warmer, deeper and coral.

There are four colors infused in these pans. Pink Sunrise has a cool-toned light pink, a cool-toned medium pink, a soft white and a cool-toned plum, and you know how this story goes… Mix all the colors together with the included kabuki brush (or a separate blush brush) by swirling it in the pan, and then dust that on your cheeks for blush.

Following this, rejoice. 🙂

I think I might be too warm-toned and tan to really pull this one off, because I feel like it kinda washes me out, but I don’t know… Maybe that’s more because I think the other Dior Tie Dye Edition blush in the collection, 002 Coral Sunset, is a tan girl’s jam.

I do like quite a few things about this one that I also like about Coral Sunset, like…

  • It’s highly pigmented — Even though Pink Sunrise is probably a little too light for me, it still gets points for intensity. One layer should be all you need.
  • It looks very natural — It’s like 002 Coral Sunset in that regard. The matte finish borders right on the cusp of a sheen. Pink Sunrise has larger, playful flecks of silver glitter than Coral Sunset, and I can see them from an arm’s length away (but I do have to look closely, so it’s not totally obvious).
  • It lasts a good, long while — The wear time is solid. It lasts six or seven hours before I feel the need for a touchup.

Dat $57 price tag, tho! Yes, it’s more painful than sitting on a cold toilet seat first thing in the morning, but Pink Sunrise delivers. It’s a lot to pay for a single blush, but this one (and/or Coral Sunset) could/should last years. Recommended for lighter lasses and cooler-toned gals and guys in the “treat yo’self” mindset.

PRICE: $57, one of two
AVAILABILITY: Limited edition, available now online and at Dior stores and counters

I LOVE those pictures. Well worth standing outside in your jammies to get them.

I like it on you, almost highlighting blush! On your tone you could use it to put along the tops of the cheek and use a sculpting powder below. Sounds like a good smoky eye combo!

Yep, def too light for me but I do think it’s beautiful. And, you know, I’ve never seen the type of sunrise you mentioned. Though I’d love to. Of course, that would involve getting up early in the morning. And I ain’t about that life (read: too lazy 🙂

I think I like this shade even more than the coral. I like cool toned pinks and I think it’d show nicely on my pale skin.

These pictures of the sunset are beautiful, absolutely postcard material right there!

I liked the coral better color-wise but this one looks intenser. Gorgeous sunset snaps by the way!

Now that’s a beautiful sunrise. 🙂 I love your photos, Karen! Also, I saw both of the Dior blushes in Nordstrom yesterday, and it took so much willpower to not buy them. They are so pretty!

It does look pretty on you – I don’t find that it washes you out (at least in the pics). I am definitely a big fan of Coral Sunset, though. Speaking of sunsets, we get red/orange here but I can’t ever recall seeing a pink sunset. Your picture is beautiful. 🙂

I have the coral one, and it’s a beautiful highlighting blush on my skin. I return this shade because it was too cool tone on me 🙁

I think these are beautiful but I’m starting to look at my makeup collection as a retirement package. I would love the coral one but $57 for a blush is just NOT worth it anymore.

I used to be about the next greatest product but as I age I’m REALLY looking forward to NOT working anymore. I just want to retire and maybe do something fun for a change.

Sorry for my slobbery post – WHAAAAA! lol
