MAKE UP FOR EVER Jamie Chung and Andreja Pejić Artist Shadow Palettes

August 5th, 2015 by Karen 22 Comments

Yeah, man! I’d immediately drop the sweater I’m knitting for my cat (I’m not actually doing this, but it is on my to-do list) for the two new Make Up For Ever Jamie Chung and Andreja Pejić Artist Shadow Palettes because they’re such a great-freakin’ deal.

Would you believe that the pans in these “Be Bold. Be Unexpected. Be You.” eyeshadow palettes are actually bigger than the regular full-size singles in MUFE’s permanent line? Like really — who does that…? These days, I feel like it’s usually the opposite. So many brands are giving less product and charging more for it, so it’s rare when a line doesn’t.

Here’s a review of MUFE’s Andreja Pejić and Jamie Chung “Be Bold. Be Unexpected. Be You.” palettes, both of which are $48 and available now exclusively at sephora.com.

Press play! 🙂 C’mon, I know you wanna.

Products mentioned…

  • Make Up For Ever Be Bold. Be Unexpected. Be You. Artist Shadow Palettes in Andreja Pejić and Jamie Chung ($48 each)
  • L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Nailcolor in Endless Sea ($9.99)

Oooh, I like those magnetic changeable palettes. I wish I could buy that and choose my own shades, lol. I love the steel blue grey especially. I wish I could see your necklaces – they look fabulous. I just got a new long pearl & crystal necklace from C+I and I should loader it like you did. Thanks as always for great ideas!

      Hi Allison,

I’m wearing a layered necklace from Ann Taylor. Here it is: Pearlized Crystal Statement Necklace.

Thank you, Karen! It’s a gorgeous necklace! I just receive a Chloe + Isabel pearl & crystal necklace for review, and though I’ve worn it on its own, I’d like to simulate the layered look of your necklace. I’m gonna go shopping in my jewelry box and see what I can come up with!

OOh, can’t wait to see what you come up with! And let me know if you discover any tricks to keeping layered necklaces from getting tangled up in each other, lol. I’ve tried layering some on my own and they always end up intertwined, which is why I ended up getting the Ann Taylor one (plus it was 50% off!).

Aww, thanks Anna! I don’t know if the sweater will actually ever happen but I hope it does. I think he’d look great in red. lol!

      P.S. Do you knit?

Hah! I tried several times when I was young, just unfortunately never stuck with it. My mom is amazing though, always knitting sweaters when I was young, also sewing- I had several ornate dresses when young. At least I can cook! Thankful I at least learned that by osmosis from her… 🙂 your ‘thumbnail’ picture is so gorgeous!

I hope you’re having a great week so far, Gio!

You are so cute in this video Karen! Not awkward at all, just real person talking to a camera, lol!
I appreciate the value of these palettes, but they’re not the shades I would choose if I decided to get a quad of Artist Shadows, so they’re not for me.

Aww, thanks babe. I feel REALLY awkward in front of the camera, but hey, I guess it isn’t too bad.

Do you currently use any of MUFE’s eyeshadows? I think I want to grab some everyday mattes just to switch things up! They’re so beautiful and easy to blend.

Hope you’re having a nice day so far.

Good deal and I love the colors. I’m not a nude/neutral shade fanatic, but MUFE’s are so good, and have such interesting shades and finishes, that I go ga-ga over them.

      Hi Rachel,

I do too. I just wish I could remember their names!

I remember you mentioning that you like brights…Did you ever grab the bright version of the Artist Palette from last spring? It’s SO pretty!

Yes, I got the brights and the nudes version, actually. I love them both. I have several MUFE singles in brights, too. They do a great job with them. INTENSE. I use them on all on my eyes, even though some say “blush.”

Yeah, both are great. And I know a lot of people who use the blush shades on their eyes. I think it happens often. 🙂

I love that you wear brights!

Hmmm… it might be time for me to finally try some MUFE products, because that’s a great deal.
If you need pointers while knitting your future cat sweater, hit me up.
Also, you’re adorable and should do more videos. But not too many without makeup on, because you’re also adorable without any makeup, and I feel like if I saw you on a video being that cute without makeup it would make me even more jealous than your pictures do. (longwinded backhanded compliment, yay!)

      Hi Shelby,

I will take that advice when the time comes because I’m terrible at knitting! I do know the basics though so I figure why not? You only live once. Might as well try to knit the cat sweater. lol

And aww… thank you for the compliment. I’ll take it!

Hope that you had a nice day. Is it Friday yet?

Niiiice! I’m really digging that warmer one. It looks like a great everyday palette for me. That mauve-y shade has me curious..

Thanks so much for reviewing these! I’ve been dying to try them and see if they were worth buying, I hate when things are online only because I can’t swatch in person haha. I think I’m going to get Jamie’s because Andrejas seem pretty dupable for what I already have. I love the video I think you did a great job! The names of shades in the artist shadows drives me bananas I’d never be able to remember the shades!
