PATROL REPORT BY: Private First Class Karen
I. INTRODUCTION AND SUMMARY
Purr the daily mandate as issued by senior leadership, Lieutenant Tabs and I conducted a patrol of the Novato sector this morning at 0600 hours.
We observed minor intruder activity at approximately 0615 hours when a human male was spotted on patrol with some type of miniature canine. Lieutenant Tabs ordered us to fall back to base, at which point we proceeded to investigate reports of a feline trespasser at the rear perimeter, but no trespasser was observed.
After completing our patrol, Lieutenant Tabs engaged in behavior that can only be described as “strange” when he proceeded to roll around in a pile of dry leaves.
Shortly after this, we had a green salad for lunch and returned to HQ.
No other anomalies were observed.

When cats roll around on dirt, cement, leaves, etc, I call it “getting the stink off”. My moms cat does it all the time. Tabs you are handsome as ever!
Way to go, Tabs! People say cats are lazy, but it looks like you are doing a fine job keeping up the security of your neighborhood. Keep up the good work. 🙂

Good work falling back upon spying the canine. Canines are not to be trusted, ever. And I must commend your bravery for rolling in the pile of leaves to check for IEDs. It might not have been the safest course of action, but certainly brave.

Karen, I love all your make-up finds and updates and videos, but I think I like the Tabs postings the best! Such cute photos! And I love that one with his whiskers telescoping forward. My cats do that right when they’re leaning in to be petted or scratched. Adorable!

I think the rolling in the back is part of a classified safety procedure only feline officers have access to. My own superior Captain Ernesto proceeds to the same back rolling daily during our routine inspection of the backyard.
Aww looks like Tabs had a good outing today! I’m going to have to get some catnip plants for Blaow to nibble on too.
This must be a safe neighborhood with Lt. Tabs watching over it.
