The two theBalm Holiday 2015 palettes

I hope the holidays are hella balm, girl, because you know what!? YOU DA BALM.

You da balm dot com!

The balm…? Get it??

Alright, alright, I know. Weak word play…but it’s so much fun. 🙂

Yes, I’m actually holding theBalm In the Balm of Your Hand palette ($39.50) in the palm of my hand…

The holidays have officially begun over at theBalm. Their new holiday 2015 collection is available now, and it’s just two pieces — actually, two palettes. One of them is called “In theBalm of Your Hand Greatest Hits Vol. 1,” so you’ll literally be able to hold theBalm in the palm of your hand.

Both palettes are filled with some of the brand’s most popular products, so there aren’t any new colors here. One consists of powder and cream products for eyes, cheeks and lips, and the other contains a trio of powder highlighters.

Because these are both sort of “greatest hits” palettes, they’re a good way to get familiar with the brand if you aren’t already. With the $39.50 “In theBalm of Your Hand” palette, you get three blushes, one bronzer, a highlighter, four eyeshadows and two combo lip/cheek products, and yay! — some of them are things I’ve been wanting to try, like the Hot Mama and Instain blushes.

I’m always in favor of things that make my life easier, like the separate flap that covers the cream products in the “In theBalm of Your Hand” palette (in the in the?), so you can cover the creams and keep them clean while you’re working with the nearby powder products.

Isn’t that nice? No cross pollination!

Now, I haven’t played extensively with this palette yet, but I have worn the blushes, the bronzer and the highlighter. I’ve yet to explore the four eyeshadows, but I have used theBalm’s eyeshadows before, and I like ’em. They have an easy-to-blend, soft formula (comparable to Too Faced shadows); most of them are very wearable, too, and have a healthy amount of pigment.

I’m also pretty excited about The Manizer Sisters Palette. In it, you get three of theBalm’s bodacious highlighters — the awesome golden Mary-Lou Manizer, pinkish gold Cindy-Lou Manizer and bronzy gold Betty-Lou Manizer.

Great! I think these are great. They remind me a lot of BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed highlighters. You can use them for soft and subtle effects, or turn that ish up to highlighter heaven. If you haven’t tried these highlighters yet, this palette’s a good way to get them all in one place.

Both palettes/potential stocking stuffers are available meow online and at theBalm counters. Lots more pictures and info in the video at the top.

As always, thank you for watching.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I have never tried any highlighters from the Balm and I know they are really good so I might splurge on this one! Nice to try out all three shades in one place!

Love these palettes! In theBalm of Your Hand is really great for a best of the brand, but I already own most of the products it contains. I’m tempted by the Manizer Sisters, I’m a fan of Mary-Lou but I haven’t tried the other 2.
I like this holiday collection: short, concise, and featuring awesome formulas!

I like the tiny one! Those colors are super versatile no matter what season it is!

I love the idea of a greatest hits palette! I only have one item from thebalm – the Meet Matt(e) Nude palette, so I’m definitely considering these.

I really want to try both of the palettes since I don’t have anything from the brand. I think it’s really nice that they created these palettes with all their popular products. It makes things easier for us.

Ghahaha, loved your little pun in the intro 😉 I’ve never really liked theBalm packaging though. It’s so… busy! And it lacks that elegant luxurious feel that I like. That said, I also like soft shine and subtle highlighting, so that trio sounds good!

NIIIIIICE! I feel like I could use every single pan in the ‘greatest hits’ palette, which doesn’t happen that often with this type of products.

I’ve always had a love hate relationship with their packaging, it’s cute but at the same time looks/feels cheap to me.

Wow this is a great holiday set! Although I have a few of the shades – one blush, bronzer and two of the eyeshadows I still think I could get use out of it and I think the packaging is adorable! Also, finally a company that gives us a little separation between the cream and powder products – brilliant! Oh and that highlighter palette though – WOAH YES! I think that is the one I’ll go for, especially since I haven’t tried any of theBalm’s highlighters yet! Yikes, right?!

They did great job with these. I always appreciate that The Balm puts a separate color over cream products so they don’t get all gross. The Balm is always very clever with their packaging.

I think these would be awesome for newbies, gifts or travel.

This is a horrifying confession but I’m telling you because I think you’ll appreciate it. It literally took me about 15 seconds to figure out “Manizer”. I don’t know what came over me but it just wasn’t clicking. Talk about brain fog! HAHA! I’ll be thinking about it all day like “oh, my gosh, Dodo”. Thank goodness, it’s Friday! 🙂
