Try This Nifty NARS Neutral Combo With NARS Abyssinia, Sophia and Bengali

I’ve been lovin’ this NARS brown-based neutral combo lately with Abyssnia all over my lids from lash line to brow bone, Sophia in the crease and Bengali in the outer corners.

It’s been giving my mainstay brown MAC combos a break…

It’s a good one! You should totes give it a try.

Do you have any long-term eyeshadow combos that you like? What are one of your favorites?

My MAC mainstay brown combo look uses Brule, Omega, Cork and Brun; and then I also have another reliable combo (it’s mostly warm browns, with a golden plum with bronzed pearl on my lids) with Soft Brown, Saddle and Sable.

How about good neutral (especially brown) eyeshadow combos I should try? I’m always on the market for new ones.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Nice combo! The finishes are so pretty, subtle shimmer and satin, very elegant for a classy look.
I don’t really have a go-to brown combo… I realize that I don’t own very many brown singles, so I pick a palette and use whatever browns are in there!

Nice trio. I love how rich Bengali is!!

I love a combination of Sable and Divine Decadence from Mac. Recently I have been using UD Riff for my go to crease shade and it’s perfect. I love my UD Naked 2 Basics palette though because of the multiple combinations I can get!

Those shades are beautiful. I love brown eye shadow shades, especially warm-toned browns. I am concerned that some tones might have too much red for my deep-set eyes. I used to have a Bobbi Brown set with Bone, Sable and Mahogany but it seems Sable has been discontinued. Some browns are more greyish in town and look muddy on me. I can only use the darkest shades as a liner. I don’t have NARS eye shadows, but these shades peak my interest.

This is so pretty! And it looks easy and quick to do. Definitely a plus! I have this single Wet n Wild shadow called Nutty. When I’m really in a hurry, I’ll put on a little of MAC paint pot in Painterly and then sweep the shadow on my lids. It’s great neutral, taupey color and it only cost 99 cents! I stocked up on a few last time I was at the store. 🙂

Nutty is officially on the want list, Ruchita! It’s been a while since I’ve been to Ulta; hopefully I can find it. 🙂

You pretty much summed up my favorite MAC eyeshadows, so I have nothing to add to the list.

I also like the three NARS shadows shown here. I don’t own any NARS products, basically because they’re just more expensive than what I want to pay. However, I do own quite a bit of MAC makeup and the three eyeshadow shades that I use on a regular basis are Neutral Pink on my lids, Remotely Gray in the crease & outer corner, then I use Dark Edge (a deep matte brown) as liner – sometimes I’ll wet my liner brush, but it holds up well when used dry also). My problem with this combo is that these MAC shades were limited edition that I bought several years ago (yes they’ve lasted this long with approx 3 – 5 days/wk usage) and I need to find shadows that are very similar in color and texture. Any and all suggestions for dupes of the shades I’ve mentioned are very much welcomed. Thanks!! *Stay Beautiful & Always Classy*

I love the look! I was thinking about a 2 shadow look that would be super easy to do in the mornings. I think I could do the look you posted here!

You can totally do it! Do you have MAC Painterly Paint Pot or Constructivist? This combo looks great with either of them.

Happy Thursday to you, Tulip and Jazmine. 🙂

No, but I want to get Constructivist after I saw your post.

Happy Thursday to you, Baby girl, Tabs, and El Hubs!

Aww, poor Tulip. I feel her pain! I’m having allergies at the moment too. What is she allergic to?

I thought she was allergic to fish. When she has even a tiny lick of cat food with fish in it she gets a rash. Also I think she’s allergic to cat collars because that’s where she gets the rash.

My go-to neutrals are Makeup Geek Vanilla all over, LORAC Taupe in the crease, and a darker color (usually LORAC Pewter or another Makeup Geek eyeshadow I have) to detail. I also have a slightly shimmery ivory from LORAC whose name I don’t know that gets a lot of use. (All individuals, not palettes)

You mentioned that you have 2 MAC “go-to” eyeshadow looks. One is soft brown, saddle and sable. I figured out sable is on your lid, but where to you put the soft brown and saddle?

The other combo is brule, omega, cork, brun. Which shadow do you put where?

My go-to combo is all MAC! All That Glitters as a sheer wash of color on the mobile lid, Bamboo as a transition and to blend, Swiss Chocolate through the crease and Sable on the lower lash line and buffed over a brown or dark taupe liner on the top lash line. Love it!

Such a nice trio! I love how it seems like you could get many looks out of just 3 different colors.

Second LINATHA’s comment / question! Would love to see your “go to” looks / tutorial using the two MAC eyeshadow combos you mentioned — they sound lovely!
