I slept pretty well, except I woke up with my legs killing me. I decided yesterday to see how Zena and her BFF Ally walk together and took them BOTH on walk. They walk very well together but uh Ally is a bit exuberant. I practically jogged the entire time and I’m not a runner. That says something if a dog that’s 3 inches taller than Zena can control me by making me jog to keep up with her!

Allow me to describe Ally the German Shepard/Husky mix’s leash for you–it’s about two feet long and made of CLIMBING ROPE. It isn’t that she doesn’t walk well, it’s just that she is very exuberant.

I think the only bad note about that walk was that at the end of the walk, a big, fluffy brown bunny decided to pose on the sidewalk. Let’s just say both pooches went after said bunny. Zena didn’t get very far as I finally bought her a harness but Ally about ripped out my arm! Definitely not an everyday thing but occasionally they can walk together.

    Good features!

      Hi Kate & Zena,

It sounds like you guys had quite the walking adventure. I used to have a dog like Ally who was uh, not the most well behaved creature on a leash. He was a black lab named Bell.:)

Anyway, hope your legs feel better soon.

    Karen,

It isn’t that Ally is not well-behaved on a lead, she was a tad exuberant as she normally is just on a huge tie-on outside. She needs to be taken on a walk more often, I think, as she is part Husky. She listens very well but I think her mind had on perma-loop, “WALK! WALK! WALK! WALK! WALK!” so she wasn’t exactly paying attention. Her tail was vigorously wagging at the end of that walk and she gave she big, wet slobbery kisses which was a first. She just needs more walking and not so much time on the tie-on.

The leg pain usually goes away after three days. The joys of Cerebral Palsy. I just kinda go easy on my legs for the next few days.

Thanks for the link love 🙂 Crabtree and Evelyn is traditionally a great skin care line. The aromatherapy line is not different! I especially love the lavender scented products!
