(12 hours later) IT’S STILL HAPPENING!

March 1st, 2016 by Karen 99 Comments

Zzz… Sleepy sheepy over here. Time for a quick nap. Labor is still underway, but it slowed down in the night, so BG leaped right over leap day without making her appearance.

All is still well, though. Mom is tired but hanging in there… Eye on the prize.

Whatever you’re doing today, I hope it involves unicorns, kittens, makeup and/or rainbows. Have a terrific Tuesday, my friend. Talk to you soon.

Your friendly (but tired) neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Second the sentiment that labor is an exhausting test of endurance! It is work, but you are almost there- the home stretch. wishing you well and lots of endorphins flowing to get you through the final stages. You are stronger than you know, and so is that BG. Here’s to you and to all the ways you will continue to surprise yourself in the job of parenting.

That’s great news to hear BG is on her way! But it sounds like she’s wanting to build up suspense before she makes her grand entrance! Arrgh – kids! LOL (My son was the same way. He *had* to wait until his dad arrived back from home – doc told him to go home to get some rest because he thought it was going to be a long labor).

YOU CAN DO IT! Prayers & Best wishes sent your way. I remember when I thought I just couldn’t do it any more and my Doc, (whose name was John Kennedy, really it was!), said “three more good sets of pushes and you can meet your baby” and that was all I needed to find the strength. Before I knew it I was telling my sweet girl I was her Mom and her name was Madeleine and the rest is the most wonderful history! There is an end in sight and it’s the best! Much love to you, El Hubs, Tabs and of course your new superstar Baby Girl when she makes her entrance into this world.
