MAKE THESE! —>Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Scone Mix

I love these fracking scones. They taste like very dense, sweet and tasty pumpkin bread.

Pumpkin spice errrthing.

When I walked into Trader Joe’s (it was a Sunday evening), I smelled them from across the store. There was a crowd of people around the gal who was giving out the samples, and she was moving to meet the demand!

I got one box for $3.69 at the time, but I was a little skeptical (I’ve gotten a few more boxes since then). I didn’t think they’d be as good when I made them at home, but they were. Don’t laugh, but I made them for dinner last Friday night, and I didn’t even bother to make them cute. El Hub didn’t say anything about it, but he gave me a look, to which I said, “Yes, I made the ugliest scones ever known to man.”

I had them with a couple glasses of wine, and that was my dinner. I might even have them for dinner again tonight.

Whatever…it’s meatless Thursday. 🙂

So based on this very scientific study, these scones are the sh*t.

They’re so easy to make, too. You just add water.

Like, that’s all you do. You add water. That’s it. You add water, mix it up with a fork, and stick it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper ’cause the dough is super sticky. Then you glaze them (they come with glaze), because without the glaze, they’d be really sad.

Sounds yummy, I’m off work today so I’m going to make the trip to my local Joe’s & buy them. I buy most of the products you mention & have never been disappointed. Thanks for the heads up! BTW, we need more pics of CC!

I’ve never tried a boxed mix for scones. I did make pumpkin scones one time using canned pumpkin. Pumpkin chocolate chip scones.

I felt my pre-diabetic blood sugar spike just reading this, lol. Try substituting milk or cream for just part of the water and I think you’ll end up with an even richer tasting scone.
Batten down the hatches! The weather news media are making it sound like the north bay is going to get an actual windy storm this weekend. Hope you have a cozy weekend.

      Hi Tatiana,

I just had one for breakfast, wheee! To be honest I’m all about the frosting. If it wasn’t for the frosting I’d peace out, LOL! Thanks for the advice on adding the cream. 🙂

So, it’s raining here right now but not too bad. You stay dry this weekend! Will you guys be doing anything?

Yeah, I don’t like frosting. Yes, I know I’m weird. Enjoy those scones! My weekend plans just got cancelled because Dear Husband just texted me that some engineers just arrived from out of town. So he’s not going to be home for dinner tonight and he’s working all weekend. I asked why he didn’t say so last night when I asked about dinner and he’s like, “I spaced out” Grrr.
Looks like I’m going to hit the makeup counters at my local Nordstrom tomorrow.
Just a shower here and there down this way.

You’re not weird! I don’t like pie crust, which my friend Jen thinks is blasphemy! I’d rather just get to the good stuff in the middle…

Have fun at Nordies (aka my safe place) tomorrow. Are you going to wander around just for fun, or are you going there to buy something specific? I need to visit soon because I’m all out of my favorite Chanel black liner, waaaah! The NARS one I have is pretty good too but I miss my Stylo Yeux.

Going to look for a moisturizer since my normal to slightly oily skin now has dehydrated patches. Sigh. Wanted to see the new Dior quints in person before I spring for one. And Chanel has a new bi-phase facial makeup remover that I want to into more. Maybe foundation samples because I’m always looking for a better foundation. And NARS, just because it’s NARS.

It doesn’t get any simpler than just adding water, and sometimes we all need that! I’m making some pumpkin drop cookies that are almost as easy (yellow cake mix, canned pumpkin and some spices). They’re very soft and fluffy, though – not dense like scones. I do glaze them with a mix of powdered sugar and milk, so they look similar to yours.

Mmm, all pumpkin everything! I would probably love your cookies because I live for the glaze. #frosting4ever
