Clearly…These New H2O+ Lip Gels Are Like the CUTEST THINGS EVER

The new H2O+ Lip Gels, $12 each

LOOK! They’re clear.

I don’t know why, but this amuses me to no end. 🙂

Here to fight the good fight against dry lips, the new $12 H2O+ Lip Gels are…clear. For the most part. And hella hydrating.

They’re light on lips (in more ways than one)

You know the story… I’m like a broker record sometimes. I have dry lips. There, I said it! I have dry lips, and they’re a pain in the butt, but these H2O+ Lip Gels? WOW. They’re marvelously moisturizing, and yet much lighter than usual for a mega moisturizing product. They’re nowhere near as thick and heavy as, say, an Hourglass Lip Oil.

Despite being rich with righteous moisture, they’re incredibly light on the lips. Sometimes I even forget I’m wearing one, so if you loathe the heavy-duty feel of real-deal lip balms and lip oils, check ’em out.

I mean…a lot of people already have, because they’re basically sold out online! I’ve found a few of them at Ulta and on the H2O+ website, but I don’t see all of them.

Clearly Mint Ingredients
Isotridecyl Isononanoate, Diisostearyl Malate, Ethylenediamine/Hydrogenated Dimer Dilinoleate Copolymer Bis-Di-C14-18 Alkyl Amide, Octyldodecanol, Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide, Flavor/Aroma, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Tectona Grandis Wood Extract, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Zostera Marina Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Portulaca Pilosa Extract, Dibutyl Ethylhexanoyl Glutamide, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sucrose Cocoate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene.

They have a hint o’ tint

They come in five sheer tinted shades and one clear one, and if you have pigmented lips like I do, you probably won’t discern a big difference among them (except for the completely clear one).

I can kindasorta see the tints clearly when I build up the red and dark purple shades (which are the only ones that seem build-able at all, and even then it’s just a little), but if you’re hoping for flamboyant fabulosity from the blue and orange shades, um…no. Sorry. They more or less look the same. They add just a hint of tint and shine, but what they do I think is nice.

Think mint

Or like fresh catnip? That’s how these taste and smell, by the way, and it isn’t in-your-face. It’s subtle, so nothing at all like minty toothpaste, which would be a deal-breaker for me.

Where to find them

You tell me! — because I haven’t been able to track them all down at one place online. I highly recommend them, though. But you’ll probably only need one, since they more or less look the same once you get them on your lips. Pick your fave (I like the blue one!), and go with that. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Darn, I don’t like mint, especially in lip products. These are so cool looking!

I am all for the #pigmentedlife, so I think I will pass, but then again pulling out a blue lipstick is kinda cool.

I have super dry lips too-I’m definitely on board! If you’re struggling to find them in the USA though, they’ll be even harder to source in the U.K.! Boo!

I am always down for trying a new lip balm. It’s so hard to find one that works. I’m kind of sad it’s hard to find these, full stop! Especially since these transparent gels are cray-cray adorbs (as you can see, I was recently remembering my favorite Sprint commercial – HAHA!).

    Happy Friday!

These look like fun! I’d like to try one. My lips are so dry, I keep several lip balms I like around, and rotate and layer them. Have you tried Sephora’s Lip Balm and Scrub? I like the balm, want to try the scrub (only $6, too!).

Grrrrr… they’re listed as out of stock on Ulta right now. BUT Imma hafta have a least a couple of these. The blue one is a must, just to freak people out. 😀 And I like the look of the orangy ones, so prolly one of those as well. Gotta wait for the flippin’ things to come in, tho… Oh, Ulta has them listed as buy one get one half off, so hoping they come in before that goes away!

Oh Gosh… I was really interested to try one of these… so I went to eBay to find someone that could deliver it far away… but my tag “H2O lip gel” lead me to a very different product… quite ashaming when I understood what it was… lol
