Benefit Is “Baton” a Thousand With the Benefit Cheek Parade Blush Kit

March 27th, 2017 by Karen 11 Comments

The Benefit Cheek Parade Blush Kit is a parade of blushes! It comes with 5 full-size blushes and costs $58.

Band Geek Karen knows that the sassy majorettes on the new Benefit Cheek Parade Blush Kit are doing high mark time. Yes they are!

Oh…I marched across a lotta football fields back in the day with my flute, but these chicks look a lot cooler than I ever did.

Five full-size pans

A new LE blush and bronzer kit, Benefit Cheek Parade is $58 and comes with five — FIVE! — full-size products from the Benefit permanent line, including Hoola Bronzer and the new Hoola Light; old-school blush faves Rockateur and Dandelion, as well as the new Galifornia; and a full-size face brushy-brush.

Just as fab as B’s permanent line blushes and bronzers

Limited edition kits with perm products in them have let me down so many times before, especially lately. For whatever reasons, many of them have items that just don’t perform up to par compared to the same products in the permanent collection. To paraphrase the Interwebz, “Y THO?!”

Thank ye makeup gods, but the blushes and bronzers in Cheek Parade DO perform up to par! 🙂 Same look, same texture, same smell…

OH, MY THE GOSH, THE SMELL.

Eau de peach gummy

For me, it’s a little much. I mean, I normally don’t mind scented face products at all, but when I open this palette, I feel like I’m surfing a tsunami of peach gummy rings. It’s cloying and borderline synthetic.

It doesn’t make my tummy turn, but I wish it wasn’t so…in my face.

The verdict

Doing the makeup math, Cheek Parade is a flat-out fantastic deal if you’re a pale princess or a medium-toned temptress, since two of the products, Dandelion Blush and Hoola Light Bronzer, are most noticeable on lighter skin.

I’m pretty tan (NC42), and they barely show up on me.

Where to find it

Cheek Parade is supposed to be available now on the Benefit website, but as I’m writing this post, it’s listed as out of stock. It’s also slated to arrive soon on the Sephora website and will be available in Sephora stores starting April 7th.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

    Hi Karen!

Congratulations on the new layout, it looks fantastic!

Just one observation – the header (or the top banner) is very wide and doesn’t move when I scroll down, so it kind of cuts the page. I can’t view the pictures etc without them being cut off by the banner.

A suggestion would be to keep the banner limited to the top so that when a person scrolls down, it isn’t visible. Or, alternatively, a narrower banner.

    Thanks!

I would be all over this, had they included one more blush and not two bronzers. I mean, I barely finish one bronzer ever, why two? My skin tone does not change that much that I need two different bronzer hues.

Oh man!! I might need to get this. I’m almost out of dandelion, and California and hoola lite are on my list… seems like a screaming deal to me!!

Mmm, I was gonna say “I want that” but then if it doesn’t show on tanned skin, I’d better check it out in person first. You see, now Im medium but I hope not for long!
You changed the site!!! I love it! It’s brighter overall, so looks lovely 🙂 xx

This is so pretty! A great deal too! I don’t think the smell would bother me. I really liked the Dallas color in the late palette though. If they swapped the dandelion out with that I would HAVE to get it lol

Too light for me! I like how the coral blush looks though. The cover shows a picture of the same woman in different band outfits? Kinda strange to me. But I love the new layout!

I’m with Linda Libra Loca, I don’t need two bronzers, especially the regular Hoola. Can I assume the color swatches on your arm from top to bottom are Rockateur, then Galifornia, then Dandelion, Hoola Lite and finally Hoola?
Just saw this on-line at Sephora.com.
Think I might check out Galifornia or Dandelion and Hoola Lite and just get one or two of the individual colors.
How does this blush formula compare to the Tom Ford blush formula?

I just about had a fainting spell over the Galifornia pan pattern. Love it!
