What I Wore Wednesday, Vol. 10: MAC Fruity Juicy

I’m wearing the new MAC Fruity Juicy collection

Fruity fun fact! I live in Northern California, and if I want to get a halfway decent tasting papaya, I gotta catch a flight to Hawaii and cross the Pacific because, for the life of me, I just can’t find a papaya that tastes right within driving distance. I’ve visited so many different grocery stores and farmers’ markets here in the Bay Area looking for one (because when a papaya craving hits, it hits hard, yo!), and yet a yummy papaya still eludes me.

The struggle is SO real.

Er, why am I talking about fruit?! ‘Cause I’m wearing the MAC Fruity Juicy collection today. ??? Fruity Juicy is MAC’s summer collection, and it’ll be landing on counters and online on May 28 (available through June 29).

I seriously love true concept of this collection! The shades are yummy! I’m wearing something juicy but not fruity? It’s the Lancôme Juicy Shaker, I hope I get some points for that ?

You would rock it SO HARD! Although good luck not getting any stick baby hands up in the mix. LOL!

I love the hair! I also like how you paired a bright pink gloss with a warm-ish reddish eye.

Btw, what’s the deal with people saying lip gloss is back? In my world, lip gloss never went away!

      Hi Gloria,

Thanks, friend! I would’ve never thought to do a reddish brown eye with pink lips, but I kinda stumbled onto it and it works. Yay!

And yeah… Gloss will always be in style in my book. 🙂 The MAC Cremesheens are easily in my top five. So moisturizing.

Your hair looks so thick and lush! Jealous!

I’ve been moving away from overly matte lips. I don’t like a lot of lip glosses because they’re sticky, but I like a bit of shine right now!

Try the Maybelline Baby Lip Crayons. They’re not sticky and gives a little bit of shine.

Or the MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencils. They have a light vanilla scent (I found the scent Baby Lip Crayons kind of strong).

Today is probably the first time I’ve worn zero mac in six months?

    Sephora Brand airspray foundation
Ciate brand cream blush in a light magenta?
    Blinc Mascara
Hourglass Ambient Ethereal Light as face powder
Lancome Matte Shaker in Pink Power
And urban decay naked basics the light shimmer and the taupe, as the most subtle eye look ever (that I do a lot).

      Hi Breyerchic!

I’ve always thought the Naked Basics palettes were the unsung heroes of the Naked line. I like them a lot.

How are you liking the Ciate cream blush? Because, ya know, I need another cream blush to get obsessed with. LOL!

Yeah with Naked Basics and maybe one colorful shimmer shadow I can be happy on a week vacation.

I like it ok, the formula is good and the color Glamazon is gorgeous, but it gets stuck on the lid of the packaging, and isn’t the most hygenic packaging.

I am wearing green, but it was not fruit inspired sadly. I just had it at hand and was in a hurry.
And papaya… I have given up trying to find one around here, I wait until I am on holiday somewhere they grow naturally.

I love this look! So pretty and summery. Have you ever tried guavas in Hawaii? I’ve had them in India and on Kauai we visited the Gauva Kai Plantation. Not sure if it’s still around, but it was a fun visit.

This collection looks fun and so good on you.

For papayas, do you have a Ranch 99 Asian supermarket in your area (we have several in the South Bay)? If so, you can buy the small Hawaiin papays they see in packs of two. They’re honey-like and oh so delicious!
