Oh, dear.
Or deer.
Having grown fed up with the gang of local deer ruffians who sabotaged his previous attempt to enhance the company courtyard with colorful plants, Tabs enacted a new company policy authorizing the rapid installation of some deer-resistant plants.
And he’s oversaw the entire project.
He put on his landscape architect hat and drew up the plans, strategically placing each plant where it would be most visually pleasing to cats and humans and most irritating to deer.
The project is about 75% complete and due for mid-process review. Tabs plans to nap and play around the flowers this afternoon to test their relaxation quotient, and then tonight it’s overnight testing to see how effective the design is with regard to deterring deer.
Hopefully this design works better than the last one, which relied on heavy use of gerbera daisies, which the deer hooligans sabotaged very quickly. The new design relies on purple salvia, a few of which have already been deployed, and potted zinnia, which will be incorporated in phase two of the project.

Oooh, good call Tabs. Especially, I don’t know if it’s the case over there, but the deer here in Michigan bring ticks, and it’s a really bad tick season here because winter was so mild.
I can only admire the thoroughly paws-on approach Tabs brings to all he does. Those deer need to recognise who’s boss and kiss the paw that he graciously extends to them…
