These Too Faced Chocolate Brow-nie Cocoa Powder Brow Pencils Smell Just as Good as They Look

YOUR BROWS SMELL LIKE WHAT NOW?!

I hope you’ll be able to forgive Ryan Gosling after he announces in Us Weekly that he’s leaving his baby mama (a.k.a. Eva Mendes) for me, because after he gets a whiff of my eyebrows, he’s going to realize that he can’t live without K-Dawg. 🙂

Yes, girl, my eyebrows smell hella good right now! They smell like brownies fresh out the oven! And how could you not fall in love with someone whose brows smelled like brownies?

The Too Faced Chocolate Brow-nie Brow Pencil has been available for a while, but I’ve just tried it, and I tried it because, well…brownies.

It comes in four cocoa powder-infused shades — Taupe, Auburn, Soft Brown and Deep Brown (I wear Deep Brown) — and why Too Faced decided to go next level and give them a chocolatey brownie scent, I do not know… But it’s certainly a nice touch, since brows are usually the most boring part of makeup for me, and the scent gives them a little more pizzazz.

FYI, the fragrance isn’t overwhelming. It’s not like you’re sitting in a closet alone with 10,000 brownies (although I wouldn’t object to that). It’s very faint, and you can only really smell it when you get the pencil tip all up in your nostrils.

The pencils have an angled flat tip on one end and a spoolie on the other, and yay for the flat shape, because that means that I can fill in large swaths of brow area with a few quick flicks of my wrist! Also, whoop-whoop to the level of semi-saturated pigment, which is similar to my holy grail brow pencils at the moment, MAC Brow Sculpt (a.k.a. the Tom Ford brow pencil dupe).

Yes, that’s a good thing because it makes it easy to control how much color I lay down in those sparse spots.

I like these pencils a lot, but I still prefer the MAC one, because when I get really nitpick-y with a magnifying mirror, I can see the product holding on to some areas of my skin more than others. It’s not obvious, though, from a few feet away, so I still say these are a “go,” and I can still recommend them for someone looking for a cruelty-free brow-filling option.

The Chocolate Brow-nies are $23 each and available now in the Too Faced permanent line.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Too Faced is kind of cornering the market on the chocolate theme, aren’t they? Though I don’t recall if their chocolate bar palette is scented. 🙂 I really have to check out the MAC pencil. I’ve made a note on my phone so hopefully I’ll remember. 🙂

Auburn looks like a good shade for me! I might have to check it out, because the MAC ones don’t have a good shade for my hair color (darkish auburn).

Ah they have an auburn shade! I will have to check these out! I’m loving the chocolate scented stuff. Today I have on some of the Tarte Clay Play shadows and am enjoying the scent of cocoa wafting into my nostrils every now and then.

    P.S. Your necklace is GORGEOUS!
