Bust out your Manolos, ladies, because the countdown is on! As of today, there are only 49 days until the May 30 release of the Sex and the City movie. I am a die-hard fan of the show, and when the last season aired a few years ago I almost felt like I’d lost a fabulous group of girlfriends.
I know that many of you love the show as much as I do. It’s fun to think about which character you identify with the most. My friends C-Lo and J-Money identify with Miranda. While I’ll always have a beef with her choices concerning Mr. Big, Carrie cracks me up. I like to think of myself as a Carrie. I, too, am a shoe geek and writer … and I dig her quirky taste in clothes.

The movie opens on a Friday, so I’m planning to hit the first show. Fridays are my days off! You best believe I intend to wear my four-inch heels to the theater at 11am!

Ladies, I am so frickin’ tired right now it’s insane. I’m glad it’s Thursday! Tomorrow, I get a day off from my day job, so today is my “Friday,” so to speak. After work I plan to visit the mall and a few makeup counters — Prescriptives, Clinique and, of course, MAC! 🙂 Just gotta hold on ’til four this afternoon…

I’m most like Charlotte, but love Carrie too.
I definitely identify with Carrie (I actually started a new gig as a sex columnist(!), go figure). But, you’ll probably be happy to know that I’m engaged to my Aiden and have left my Mr. Big far behind. My Mr. Big is trying to re-enter my life though, so I have to be careful. We’ve been “friends” for a while now and sometimes it’s way too tempting to not take it further!

I’ve been having Fridays off too!! But I highly doubt I’ll tote the tykes by myself to the movies. Speaking of which, it’s been over 2 years since I’ve ever been to the movies. That coincides nicely with Big Tyke turning 2 not too long ago 😉 Lol.

Believe it or not, the only time I have watched SATC is when I got my pedicure at Bliss! I kinda think I’m like Carrie, because she seems to be a good mix of good sense and adventurousness, but I don’t know if that was just the episodes I saw! Oh well, I’ll Netflix them one of these days anc catch up!

OMG, that’s a sexy pair of Manolo! But unfortunately, Louboutin is the new Manolo and I do find them sexier. They need to have a show like SATC where all the female characters wear Louboutin. Those 4in heels make your legs look like gazelles. My cousins (1 male and a whole bunch of females) used to gather and watch SATC. One day the female cousins ordered the DVD to watch as a girl night out+ sleepover thing. Guess what happened the next day?
The boy said, “You guys are mean! You watched SATC without me!” :))
Argh, one of my best friends is getting married right friggen before this comes out and she’s blackmailed all her bridesmaids to wait until she gets back from her honeymoon to go!!! I may just have to go before her and keep it on the low haha. Yeah we totally plan on dressing the heck up and prancin in there haha. Hey if the Harry potter geeks can do it, I’m sure its ok for us to look amazing walking in as well. Yaaay.
Oh and my friends say I’m totally like Miranda but I do identify with Carrie on the whole leaving Aiden for Mr. Big. That’s a whole story…..I’m actually trying to work it out with my Aiden hehe. We all know its the right choice right!!

Girl, I had to give up my bag habit. *tears* My closet only has X amount of space and I’d rather devote valuable real estate to shoes. Plus, I ended up losing so much makeup from the act of transferring stuff from one bag to another.

Oh, I don’t think that’s possible anymore. Some of the cousins already moved out of their home state and I’m many states away from them. Plus the boy is no longer a boy, he’s now a grown man and watching SATC has a new meaning to him I reckon.

You have NO idea how much Carrie should have ended up with Aiden, HELL, I’d take him! I never really got into why she was so hung up on Big, he was a douche – pardon my language.. I really loved the show too and I can’t wait until the movie comes out! If only I could take Friday off and watch it before the masses do as well 🙂

So I’ve gotten this habit of getting like kinda crazy bags and carrying them for everyday… Like lime green, bright blue, maroon with lots of hardware and some Rhinestones on it etc. Seriously…I love them! 🙂 I have bags in my car and bags in my closet, and bags in the hall closet. I have shoes in all of those same places too though :-)I don’t keep much makeup in my purse so I typically don’t lose stuff that way.

That’s awesome! I have such a weakness for accessories and I loves me some sassy bags! I am like you in that I have shoes all over the place — in the car, in the closet, in the hallway, and um, right next to my desk at this very moment!

I don’t think I have a favorite. I like to switch it up too much. I have some nice ones that were mostly gifts. Sometimes I almost hesitate to carry them though…lol I guess those are for special occasions – not really…my mom sayd that about some of the makeup I buy her. I try not to break the bank with the ones that I buy. I have a lot of bags by Kathy Van Zeeland. I know some people don’t like KVZ, but she always blings out her bags and they’re always fun and in nice colors – plus they always have a million pockets which means that I dont’ lose everything.
Yo, I was not too keen on Aidan. He bought an engagement ring w.o her knowledge… that is definitely a no-go area!!

Thanks so much for the heads up! GEez, I’ve been out of the radar for a while, school and work has taken a toll on me but on this post I MUST reply. I LOVE LOVE LOVE SATC, I got my bf into watching the repeats and DVDs with me and he admits (doesn’t happen too often) that it is a great show! I’m bummed coz flying to Toronto on release day =( On the bright side, it means I’ll be avoiding the crowd when we go watch it the week after.
