What’s my go-to bold lip color? Oh, honey, half the time I go with a bright vibrant pink or a coral. That other half I go with a red, usually some incarnation of a matte red, because matte reds are easier for me to maintain that creamy reds.
Basically, though, red lips are classic, and when it comes to go-to bold, they always get the job done.

I would have said red without hesitation a few months ago, but over the summer bright fuchsia has taken over and I wear it even now that it is fall.
Coral-y red (Usually Maybelline Craving Coral) or some kind of burgundy!

I forgot to ask if the fur kids dressed up for Halloween this year.
Mine didn’t, but my mom put wings on my doggo sister Tinkerbell! (a rottie possibly mastiff mix). She was so beautiful! I’ll have to send you the picture on Facebook.

For me it’s fuschia, red and bright purple. I love these with just a simple cat eye and a very natural almost not there blush!
Summer: coral or pink, winter: berries and reds. Seems like whenever I put makeup on to “go out” I am going out to eat so I tend to stick with colors close to my lip color!
Clear lip balm? Kidding. I do tend more toward the deep berries. I still have a 100 year old tube of Clinique’s Just Gorgeous that I wore on my wedding day and it’s my favorite all-time shade. That’s about as bold as it gets for me. 🙂
MAC Russian Red- a classic.
Chanel Rouge Coco in Vendome, a deep brick red neutral enough to go with everything. It is discontinued, sadly.
Aaah… My makeup stash has tons of vibrant lipsticks for Very Special Cases/potential Red Carpet ? events. But you know what? When some special cases occur, I feel like pulling out the same regular daily peachy nude lipstick just with a more smokey eye and done! That’s because in unusual situations I need to think a bit of comfort, and for me it’ll mean no bright lipstick traces on teeth or lipstick that reaches the “restricted” area outside the lipline making my appearance rediculous?. But I’m still awaiting such situations and my lipstick fleet is ready for it.
My special occasion lipsticks are Estee Lauder “Carnal” and Nars “Schiap”.
Yes, and the comfortable daily ‘red’ (for my nordic fair complexion) is be Bobbi Brown “Hibiscus”. But that’s something that can be striclty worn with lipliner only…
I really like a demi-matte, red lip, but Dear Husband for some reason does not. So when he’s around I usually reach for Tom Ford Lips & Boys Cooper or Francesco. For some reason a bright fuchsia is more acceptable to him than red.

Mac Flat Out Fabulous. Super drying and makes my teeth look yellow but love it anyway coz it suits me complexion-wise. I usually lean towards purples when I’m going for a bold lip.
