It was something someone said just the other night. I was at one of the Mothers Club meetings I’ve mentioned before here in town (we were stuffing plastic eggs for the upcoming Easter egg hunt), and one of the other moms kindly said that my makeup was “on point,” which to me was really sweet and surprising, since all I’d done was the usual 10-minute makeup look I do before leaving the house.
I think that talking about and thinking about makeup so much makes me forget sometimes that “wearing makeup” (“air quotes”) doesn’t always refer to blending three colors in the crease and carving out a brow arch and mixing three shades of concealer. Sometimes it’s just the simple, pretty looks one does to get out the door so they can make it to a Mexican restaurant on time to stuff plastic Easter eggs, LOL!
What was the last compliment someone gave you on your makeup? Did they say something nice about your lipstick? Your lashes? Liner? Whatever it was, I hope it made you feel good. ?

WORD, on the TGIF! 🙂 I hope you have a fab weekend! I can’t remember any makeup compliments but friends regularly ask for product recs for makeup and skincare, so I suppose it’s a compliment that I know SOMETHING. HAHA! I do have you to thank for that, of course.
PS I hope the mom’s group is going well. Have you met any new moms from Connor’s daycare or dance class? Hopefully there are some nice ones. 🙂

I work with science and its not a field where women usually wear make up in a daily basis. Even though, I still use make up everyday but going for a more natural look, except of bold lips half of the time 🙂
I usually get compliments on lipstick colors, but recently the focus of compliments has been my liner. I bought the Urban Decay glitter liners for the first time recently and WOW, they are good!! The first time I used it double-layered with regular black liner – surprisingly easy to do – I received so many compliments in a row. It is indeed a very nice and simple combo for everyday use, especially when you want some sparkles without looking like going to a nightclub.
Karen, I agree. TGIF!! It’s been one long, long week. I was in Sephora the other day and the man who checked me out said my makeup looked great. Also, a co-worker complimented me last week and said my makeup on on point.
Oh, those Sephora compliments are THE BEST. They’re like gold! 🙂
What are you up to this weekend? It’s going to rain here (again) so I’m going to have to find really creative ways to wear my two babies (Tabs and Connor) out!
Ha, ha, I know! We want to put our house up for sale soon so I tackled my youngest son’s bedroom this weekend and I made some major headway. He’s a bit of a hoarder and I was able to get rid of so much stuff. It looks amazing in there now. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🙂

My coworkers usually give me compliments on how nice and soft my makeup looks. Its always usually how soft my eyes are.

Oh I just received a compliment yesterday. A coworker whom I never talk to said my make up looked glowing. I started using a Bobbie Brown Highlighter. I was pleasantly surprise.
