So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

Um, all of them? I do have a soft spot for Chanel.

A moisturizing lip tint, please, in a sheer coral.

Ooh, my skin could use some calming right meow.

Creamy all the way.

Baby’s breath.
6. Yellow or orange nail polish?
I’d love a creamy pastel yellow, something in the same exact shade as whipped butter.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month?
I want to say something fun like swimming in the pool, but honestly, I really can’t wait for my allergies to just be done already! They usually taper off in mid- to late- June. It’s been a rough year…
8. Burpees or mountain climbers?
Neither is on the top of my list of fun things to do, burpees seem to go by faster, at least.

1. A fancy makeup line that you like?
I really like Gucci matte and liquid lipsticks, as well as their light blue eyeliner. My perennial favorite is Armani, though. Love their lipsticks, foundation/concealer, and mascara.

Tinted balm.
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming.
My skin is really sensitive, so I’ll do the calming one, please.
4. Creamy face wash or foamy face wash?
I like a creamy one that lathers, right now it’s Tatcha Rice Wash or It Cosmetics Confidence in face wash.
5. Carnations or baby’s breath?
I actually really like the spicy smell of carnations.
6. Yellow or orange nail polish?
Both, but orange looks really nice with my tan right now.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month?
My workplace always closes in celebration of SF Pride, so I’m looking forward to that.

I didn’t know what they were, had to look up, lol.

Love, especially in the summer. I’m curious to try the new Ilia tinted serum.

I like both Charlotte Tilbury and Laura Mercier. That’s about as fancy as I get, lol.

Lip balm! My favorite is O’Keefe’s and favorite tinted is Shiseido.

Moisturizing.

Creamy.

Baby’s breath.

Yellow. I just got a pretty pastel yellow from Olive & June that I love.

We’re supposed to take a day-trip to a big farmer’s market that we love to go to every summer.

Nope. I can’t do either with my bad back.
9. Skin tints: love them or leave them?
Leave them. My skin has lost it’s entire mind since I hit my mid-40’s and tints just don’t cover enough.
What’s a Burpee?
1. A fancy makeup line that you like? Chanel.
2. Lip balm or lip tint? Balm, I use either an orange or blackberry flavored one made by a female beekeeper in Ohio.
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming. Calming. Recently splurged for Mahalo Petal mask with raw honey and rose hydrosol. So soothing and plumping and the jar lasts for months.
4. Creamy face wash or foamy face wash? Creamy.
5. Carnations or baby’s breath? Carnations.
6. Yellow or orange nail polish? Orange – but more of a coral shade.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month? Not being cold all the time. Chicago is NOT the warmest place to live.
8. Burpees or mountain climbers? Is ice cream a choice?
9. Skin tints: love them or leave them? As pale as I am, most are too dark so I’ll leave them.

1. A fancy makeup line that you like? Are Shiseido and NARS fancy? Used to like Chanel and Tom Ford, but not so much lately.
2. Lip balm or lip tint? Lip balm for the moisture
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming. Moisturizing. I feel if my skin is moisturized then all else falls into place.

6. Yellow or orange nail polish? If we can consider coral and orange I will go with orange. Otherwise I don’t really like either.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month? Dear Husbands return from his east coast business trip combined with helping Dear Daughter move to D.C. trip.
8. Burpees or mountain climbers? Mountain climbers. I just find them easier to do. Not that I love either of them.
9. Skin tints: love them or leave them? I love the idea of them. Still haven’t found “The One”
I’m counting down the days until Father’s Day because that’s usually when my seasonal allergies start to abate.

Lip balm – currently using the Neutrogena tinted lip balm with SPF 20 for daytime.
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming.
Calming! My skin is actually in a pretty good place right now.
4. Creamy face wash or foamy face wash?
The ones I use that foam barely foam, but I tend to use the mildly foaming one at night and a creamy one in the morning.

Oh god these would probably both be bad on me, but we’ll go orange.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month?
We’re going to Cedar Point with family (including great nephews and nieces) on Father’s Day and that means I’ll have a chance to ride kid’s rides! I’m scared of big rides LOL

OOF. Mountain climbers.

Love them. Fuller coverage looks bad on me as a freckly person.
1. A fancy makeup line that you like? I’m a luxury brand cosmetic shopper to begin with so all the brands I like are “fancy”. If I had to mention just one, though, the leader of the pack is Clé de Peau.
2. Lip balm or lip tint? I love a good balm.
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming. Calming is my preference. I like Tatcha’s masks because they calm and hydrate.
4. Creamy face wash or foamy face wash? Creamy. I get a gentle yet effective one from my dermatologist.
5. Carnations or baby’s breath? Carnations are a happy flower that are colorful and have a spicy scent I enjoy.
6. Yellow or orange nail polish? Orange.
7. Something you’re looking forward to this month? Visiting my son and daughter-in-law.
8. Burpees or mountain climbers? Neither. I’m a jogger.
9. Skin tints: love them or leave them? Leave them. They seem pointless to me. A light application of a sheer coverage foundation works for me.

1. A fancy makeup line that you like? I love the concept of Chanel just because of the history behind the brand. I am so excited that they have some of the line now at my local Ulta, especially since my old stand by Lord & Taylor is gone.
2. Lip balm or lip tint? I like a good lip tint that is moisturizing.
3. Pick a face mask: moisturizing, balancing, exfoliating, calming or firming. I will take as much moisturizing help as I can, any day!

8. Burpees or mountain climbers? I have to admit I have no idea what burpees are nor do I know what mountain climbers are either. When it comes to working out, I walk or swim.
9. Skin tints: love them or leave them? I like a skin tint. I find as I have gotten older (I feel like I always start my conversations with that) I don’t need as much coverage, even in cooler months.

4. Creamy face wash or foamy face wash? I think foamy. Sometimes creamy feels like it doesn’t fully rinse off.

Is MAC considered fancy? That is as fancy as I have tried, though I have some Guerlain lipsticks that I love.

Balm, I haven’t found a tint that isn’t drying and I can’t have that.

Probably none, I really don’t do them anymore, but if I had to, probably firming.
