Rosie, purr usual, spent the day working on her science experiments.

Tabs wasn’t particularly interested in science or genetics like Rosie is, but he was interested in acting as a father figure to at-risk kittens and a mentor to up-and-coming kitty supermodels.
Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for the kittens in his foundation. He would read to them, do homework with them, teach them how to strut and strike poses on the catwalk — all the basic life skills.
Rosie
Rosie’s view of Father’s Day is a little different. As an introverted, more science-minded cat, she’s more interested in the genetic aspects of parentage. She was recently tapped by Genentech to lead a study into inherited traits that get passed along from father cat to kitten, so she’s been working on that all week long.
She has a theory that vertical leaping ability is closely tied to torbie fur pattern. Why Genentech is interested in that, I have no idea. 🤷♀️

My best friend had a cat named Bob (bobcat) that had been dumped outside a business her boyfriend owned in the middle of winter. Bob was lured inside with food and came home for good. He never got over being hungry though and would eat anything (he once ate an entire waffle off my plate when I left it for 1 minute). So the bacon made me smile as one time Bob ate an entire coffee cup full of cooled bacon grease. He was quite happy but we had to wear a respirator to clean out his litter box for the next week.
I wonder what Genentech is up to with this information. it could be the next breakthrough – wouldn’t surprise me when they work with Rosie.
I love Rosie in that hat – a kind of cross between serious lady scientist and 19C Victorian lady traveller!
