Urban Decay Fall 2009: What Would You Get?

July 17th, 2009 by Karen 54 Comments

urban decay fall 2009

Yo, I’m stoked about the Urban Decay fall 2009 collection and totally blame it on the presentation. For the first time ever, UD created an online catalogue for a release and daym — all the graphics, product pics and saucy makeup looks are toying with my mind.

There’s a slew of classic UD-style makeup (bold eyes and lips!) along with an interesting new group of primers for face, lashes and lips.

Fill that cart, yo!Like a makeup junkie in need of her next hit, I spent a good half an hour doing the online shopping cart dance, repeatedly going through the checkout process only to pause before clicking that final SUBMIT…

Now, if you had $200 to spend on anything you wanted from this collection — anything at all — WHAT WOULD YOU GET? 🙂

OPERATION WHAT WOULD YOU GET: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend $200 in virtual Urban Decay Fall 2009 haul. After looking through the product pics and descriptions, post your wish list in the comments.

Some food for thought…

Primers

If you’re already a fan of Urban Decay’s cult classic Primer Potion for eyes (Sin is my fave), then you might be interested in their five new primers for face, lips and cheeks (prices range from $17-30).

Eyes

Urban Decay is known for edgy, bold eye colors, and they’re living up to it this fall with a new line called Ink For Eyes Cream Eyeliners ($22) and three new Deluxe Eyeshadow shades ($18).

Lips

For lips this season they’re reaching for extremes. Either go nude with the two new 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils ($16) and Naked Lipstick ($22), or go full-on vampy with the Oil Slick and Confession Lipsticks ($16 each).

Face

And joining the new primers and products for eyes and lips are some new goodies for faces, namely Surreal Skin Cream-to-Powder Foundation ($34) and Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup ($29).

I’m curious about the primers and eyeshadows, but I may also have to throw in a Cream-to-Powder Foundation, too. LOVE the compact.

So tell me — what would you get? 🙂

Karen

I think I died and went to heaven when I saw this collection online. Seriously! I want everything. I even got the e-mail from Sephora saying UD had a new facial primer and I was all “omg need.” LOL.

I would buy the pore-perfecting primer, ink for eyes, and definitely the three eye shadows.

    oh man… i would get:

the brightening face primer, the lip primer (for under my red/fuchsia lippies, whee!), like, all of the cream eyeliners and the navy and plum eyeshadows… all the colors seriously rock my boat (maybe except the black lippie).

do you know how the staying power is with those liners? i’m a big fan of brush on liners, like bobbi brown gels and MAC fluidlines.

    Hey Karen,
I haven’t tried any of their face stuff yet but it’s probably the best time to try. I’ve heard great things about their shadows (well, the ones without chunks of glitter! LOL) and 24/7 pencils, so I’d like to test them.

      Hi Kim,

The 24/7 pencils are AWESOME. If you need something that stays put, well, they don’t move for nuthin’.

🙂 If you get the chance check out the Get Baked Palette for summer. The shadows are amazing.

Anyhoo, how have you been? Has school been okay?

The packaging for the face primer looks great, why don’t they just put the eye primer potion in something like that? That would make it 100% perfect considering the crappy packaging is the only thing that ruins the primer potion.

I predict I’ll be all over this collection when it hits Sephora! Urban Decay is my new makeup crush. From what I’ve seen so far and preliminary reviews I’m interested in the Ink for Eyes, brightening face primer, ALL the deluxe shadows (I’m a purple fan!), and the lipstick in Naked.

    Ink for Eyes in Pyrotechnics
Lipsticks in Oil Slick & Naked
    Lip Liner in Wallflower

The Fall collection looks pretty amazing, but I’m really looking forward to the Winter one and the return of UD Nail Polishes.
I also have to say that I’m a bit dissapointed that out of three new Deluxe Shadow shades, they added two more purples and no new greens. I’d love to see what kind of amazing shade of olive green they could create for the line to join poor lonesome Graffiti.

    4-both of the lip liners

I am just so happy to know that I’m not the only one who’ shopping bag changes virtually from moment to moment. I have problems with sticking to my budget, which is theoretically zero, but in reality is based in begging for forgiveness until I commit my next sin.

    I’d get

    Confession
    Oil Slick in the lipsticks

    Sin

    Freakshow
    Frigid

    Binge
    Zero
