As you know, cats have been strong supporters of the U.S. Armed Forces since before the American Revolution, providing logistical “lurvy” support to service members, veterans and their families, as well as providing volunteer pest control on bases and naval vessels.
A few years ago, before his departure from this earthly plane, Tabs designed and commissioned a special commemorative Memorial Day cat collar to show his support.
He rocked it, of course. 🙂
As far as our usual Memorial Day holiday festivities, Tabs liked to keep it low key. Like, sometimes he’d invite a few of the neighborhood cats over for a barbecue (something easy like trout and turkey tenders baked in catnip leaves).
Mmm…
Rosie and Marnie were kind enough to give me the day off tomorrow (whee!).
No idea what we’ll be doing yet, if anything, but hopefully we think of something fun.
