Goodness gracious, you are 18 today. I can’t believe it, but yet I can. We’ve been together so long, haven’t we?
I know that this year was kind of a challenging one for us. Between me not feeling like my usual self and struggling with some health things, we haven’t been spending a lot of time together, not like we used to. I want you to know, though, that I am still here, and that I still love you very much.
I will always be so very proud of you and everything we’ve accomplished together.
What’s in store for us this next year? I don’t know, but I have a feeling that it’s going to be a year full of love, growth and adventure.

Congratulations on your blog anniversary. I think I’ve been following you for at least 10 years – I found your blog listed on an internet site about “top 100 beauty blogs,” or something like that. I winnowed it down to 5 to follow, mostly based on how good the photography was, and your site was a standout. I also followed “Nouveau Cheap,” for years, then she disappeared “to care for her mother” with the site still up (still up today I think). It took me about two years to find someone on the internet saying she had died of cancer in a rather quick fashion. So sad. And later Temptalia decided she no longer had a passion for makeup and while her site is still up, she does not update it. So thank you for hanging in there! I only follow one other beauty blogger now.
As always, I enjoy reading your blog and and agree with others that it’s like sitting down to chat with a friend. Keep up the good work and enjoy your weekend!
Hi There, yesterday I went to see the dentist and there was a big 30 on a stone at the reception. Really? And yes I am her patient since I was 14. So I felt kind of old…a very different life at that time. She was just newly divorced and opened on her own with three kids…and now 18 years makeupandbeautyblog. 🥳😂 Congratulations Karen. I guess we are the same age and my husband is Filipino and my older one is a few months older than Connor… So I feel kind of connected through the years. I love your writing style and feel like I am on a safe spot with you. When I look in my drawers there is a lot of what I have seen on your website…and it helped that I am around a Mac NC 40/42. I just bought some new pens and will try to get inspired by some graphics on your website…sending you love
