So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

Half full, please. That’s purr-fect!

Yes. It’s a wonderful experience, but be prepared to have your nice things destroyed! Oh, and you can forget about your couch ever looking pristine again.
3. How often do you hit the snooze button in the morning?
Just once. I used to just get up when the alarm went right off, but lately, eh, I’ve been loving a little extra sleep.
4. What decade has the best clothes?
I’m probably biased because I wish I could go back to 1998 at least once a day, but I think the ‘90s had some great clothes. Everything I had wasn’t too tight or too itchy, and the quality seemed to be made better overall. The other day El Hub and I spent an inordinate amount of time talking about how the socks in the ‘90s were better, but I swear they lasted longer. Nowadays, I feel like I’m buying new socks every six months.
5. What decade has the best music: ‘70s, ‘80s’, ‘90s or 2000s?
Oh boy, don’t make me choose! I guess overall I’d go with ‘80s music. I can always find something I like from that era.

2. Have you ever raised a puppy or a kitten? Yes…several puppies. Those first few months are adorable…but chaotic.
3. How often do you hit the snooze button in the morning? I set two alarms. One for when I need to get up…and one for 5 minutes later.
4. What decade has the best clothes? 90’s. You are correct. You are correct that clothes were better made. Especially jeans!

If the drink is already chilled down to about 40 degrees, I prefer no ice. Also, restaurant ice (at fast food mainly) is often contaminated, so I’d rather skip it from those places.

Yes, two puppies. They weren’t destructive. One was a Collie and one was a Shetland Sheepdog. I’d prefer that my next dog be a puppy, because your bond with the dog is usually much stronger if you’ve been the dog’s caregiver from very early on.
3. How often do you hit the snooze button in the morning? Usually at least twice.

In general, the 1990s as they imported a lot of cotton and silk apparel from Hong Kong, and the clothes were very well made. Styles were classic, for the most part. I still have some of them.

1970s, though it was already starting to deteriorate. My theory is that the drug use that started in the 1960s was taking its toll on certain musicians. McCartney started releasing a lot of “Muzak to my ears” (John Lennon quote) during that decade as he smoked too much marijuana. Then disco ruined the last two years of my high school existence. (There are really only about two decent disco songs.)
The good music included: Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Supertramp, Al Stewart, Paul Simon, etc.

I prefer my drink half full. When the ice melts it waters down the drink. I also don’t like my drink to be too cold.

I hit snooze a number of times that will not be mentioned. lol I probably should not have access to a snooze button.

I like the clothes from the mid 2000s. That time was my preteen years and it’s around the time I really started paying attention to clothes and buying teen magazines.

I like 70’s the best. My favorite music genres are funk and disco so gotta go with the 70s. 🙂

4. What decade has the best clothes? I liked the 60’s—Cardin, De La Renta, YSL, Halston, Givanchy, Rabanne, Pucci—I could go on and on.

For personal wear the ‘70s style was fun (tie-dye! Fringe!), but I love watching old movies from the 1930-40s. The women’s hats are usually ridiculous.

I’m a superfan of ‘80s New Wave, Post-Punk and Industrial genres. Yes, I’m still living in the ‘80s.
